Reminder Mountain Drivers--Pull Over by
Larry R Harrison Jr
I experienced an extremely aggravating situation coming down State Road 77
from Globe to Winkleman to Tucson in Arizona. That is of course the dreaded
"parade" scenario--one driver going about 20 mph on a curvy mountain road
stubbornly refusing to pull over to let others buy. The length of cars...

front license plates by
Tim923
The front license plate is not required in Florida. Should I use it
or not, once I get the new plates?
It could help ID the car if ever stolen.

minor vent here...
slowpassers are a real pain on 4-lane interstates and highways. you're
cruising along in moderate-to-heavy traffic, driving in the left lane and
passing the slower-moving traffic on the right. some dude comes cruising up
behind you pretty fast so you do the polite thing and...

My 1995 Z28 Camaro starting running rough 2 weeks ago after some heavy
rain, and following a wet winter and spring. Three years ago, at
around 100K miles, I had similar problems. Took it to the local dealer
and was told the distributor was shot. Had new plugs, wires,

Accident by
Thomas Avery
While out about an hour ago I witnessed an accident directly in front of me.
A young lady in front of me pulled out from the stop sign into the path of
the car approaching from her right. He T-Boned her on the passenger side.
The youngster had a large drink in the hand on the wheel and a cell phone...

On CNN this morning, they were reporting that MD police had borrowed night
vision goggles from the MD Army National Guard. They are using them at
night to spot people in cars *at night* not wearing their seatbelts. OK, so
we should be wearing our seatbelts, yada yada yada . . .
But do the MD...

commuting: older Corolla vs. newer Hyundai with warranty. by
chunkmonkey
So I'm looking for a commuting vehicle for around $8k, and I'm leaning
towards a toyota corolla with about 60k on it. But part of me wants to
get a Hyundai accent with low miles and a $50k warranty. My ideal car
for the drive would probably be a mini cooper, but too expensive.
What's your theory...

Short Term Car Insurance by
[email protected]
Hi Guys,
I'm away at school for 8-9 months of every year and so I only need a
car to drive to work for 3-4 months each year. Does anybody know of an
insurance company that offers insurance for terms as short as 3-4
months?
Thanks
