97 JGC - Hi-beams not staying on when lights in "Auto" mode by
James Tinkess
The switch that keeps them on is not engaging but only in auto mode,
manual on is OK.
When headlight selector switch is in "manual on" and i pull the turn
signal arm to activate the hi-beams, the hi-beams come on and stay on.
When the headlight selector switch is in "Auto" and i pull on the...

97 Cherokee AC freezing up by
Drifter
Ah crud. I already know what needs to be done, I just wanted to gripe
for a minute. Seems like I ignore the Cherokee and just drive it and
I can go MONTHS without any trouble. Pay a little attention (in this
case new plugs and wires) and something else has to act up too.
Thanks for listening...

I know someone has the fix for this. A/C draining issue with TJs. by
Eric
Ok, so I found a small lake on the passenger side of my TJ (1999, 2.5L, the
rest of the info doesn't matter...) yesterday. Assumed it had something to
do with the rain. Pulled the carpets, and left them out to dry. Drove up
to the lake today (no rain) and managed to develop another small lake in...

If you get an error message from the server, then it probably means there are too
many people trying to view it at that time. I have limited bandwidth.

Heating up too much by
YouGoFirst
I have a 1993 Grand Cherokee Laredo with the 5.2 L V8 engine. I recently
had the thermostat and the fan clutch replaced, and 1 1/2 years ago the
radiator was replaced.
I live in Utah, and lately it has been getting up to 100 degrees, and I have
found that if I am driving my car around and get...

Bike rack wanted by
derek
Hi, I'm in the UK (Ireland, really) and looking for a bike rack, for 2
bikes to attach to my Cherokee Jeep (not the Grand Cherokee) the box shaped
one about 1997 or so. I could swan down to my local Jeep dealer with a
jumbo slug o' cash in my pocket, but I know they would take the cash, and
then...

Followup: Right turn, clyde... by
DiezMon
Just FYI.
Turns out it's my passenger side Sway bar link joint. The way bar was
actually working it's way off of the link. The thumping was the slack in
the joint.
After jumping on the bumper a few times it's completeley disconnected now..
so no more noise ;) Time to get out the gear...

YJ Clutch by
Carl Saiyed
Burned the poo out of my clutch in my 89 YJ today. It's a 2.5L on 33's with
4.10's. Reccomendations on a new clutch? Centerforce? Do I need to resurface
the flywheel? Tips?
Thanks
Carl

Wrangler Suspension Lifts by
tundra
I'd appreciate opinions and/or experience with Wrangler or Cherokee lift
suspensions from the perspective of ride quality. I've had a 4" lift made by
Explorer Pro Comp on my '93 Wrangler for about 10 years now and the ride has
always been so harsh, I'm tired of bouncing down the trails like...

90 XJ Cruise Troubleshooting by
Dana Rohleder
Hi,
My cruise worked sporadically when I bought my 90 XJ I6 a couple months ago,
and after I got it back from the dealership that performed some other work
on the vehicle, it doesn't work at all. All fuses, connections, vacuum seems
good, but I suspect the switch or connector for the switch may...

Opinions on detroit in D 30 by
Greg
Daughter's 95 YJ has 9" in rear with detroit, she now wants a detroit in
the front, I read verying opinions on the YJs Dana 30 and putting in a
detroit locker, I understand if I put one in my CJ and unlock the hubs, no
locker problems, but what about the YJ with it's vacum, some one said the...

1998 Jeep Wrangler wiper problems by
[email protected]
The wipers on my 1998 Jeep Wrangler stopped working altogether. They
then began working only after the vehicle had warmed up for a few
minutes but only if you put the wipers on high. Then they would work on
all three speeds. I replaced the wiper motor, and everything worked
fine for about 5 minutes...

TJ towing capacity by
Patrick
Hi,
Although already discussed on this forum, i'm a bite sceptical when i read
various literature about the wrangler towing capacity.
According to the owner's manual max towing is 2000 lbs.
According to my car registration licence and the french caracteristics
leaflet given by Chrysler Jeep, max...

Jeep Navigator by
J Strickland
I saw a Navigator the other day, and I don't recall seeing any sales
literature on this model. It has NAVIGATOR on the hood, much the same as
RUBICON is on the hood of the Rubis.
What is a Navigator?

33s and 4.10s by
Fred Garvin
I'm planning to put 33" MTRs on my Rubicon. I love the way that it will
idle up a hill with the 31s. Will it still do that with 33s and 4.10s?
Thanks!

Would the Liberty diesel fit a Wrangler? by
Bret Ludwig
Is it very hard to put a VM engine from a Liberty in a Wrangler? I
have a three year old Wrangler (TJ) that ate a valve out of warranty
and I want to put a diesel engine in for mileage even though I know it
really makes more economic sense just to go to the junkyard and get
another stock engine. My...

Wanted: TJ plastic bumperetts by
Rich M
I know a lot of you remove the plastic bumperetts or swapped out your TJ
bumpers all together. Both of my rear bumperetts on my black 98TJ have
gotten crushed by teenagers who ran into me. I'd like to replace them
but refuse to pay the ridiculous dealer prices. If you have a set you're
not using...

grease boots by
Dennis Cox
Anyone know of a source or part # for all of the grease boots on the front
end of a TJ? I have 3 cracked ones. Does anyone sell a kit? I'd like to
replace them once and for all instead of putting another cheap one on only
to have it crack and split like the factory one did.
Thanks,
Dennis
