'66 Steering Upgrade by
.boB
Well, I decided it was time to upgrade my ’66 Coupe.
Nothing fancy, no blowers or NOS (yet). Anyway, every
old car like this needs better suspension, brakes, and
steering before adding more power. This is a daily
driver street car, and certainly not a race car. I
also didn’t want to spend...

'67 200ci T4 auto trans flywheel by
RS1967
I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this and let me know if this
is factory or if someone in the past has done some modifications to the
flywheel and torque converter on my 1967 Mustang 200ci t4.
I took notice that the ring gear has been spot welded to the torque
converter instead of being...

'67 289 Timing/Power Questions by
[email protected]
Hi all,
my 67 started running poorly all the sudden last week. It has 96K on
it, replaced cap, rotor, plugs, wires last year. Still has points (I
know this is on my list...). Had the Autolite 2100 carb rebuilt last
year. Still seems to run rich, but generally runs well.
I had read some info...

'67 Mustang Electrical Problems by
Bob Vitas
About a month ago, my '67 Mustang convertible decided not to start
anymore. First thing that happened... when I turned the key to start her
up, the starter solenoid went "pop" in a flash of light and a bit of
smoke. I figured the solenoid was fried, and got a new one. Turned the
key and got the...

'68 Mustang bad brakes... by
Darryl
All new hardware, including master cylinder and the fronts were
upgraded to disc. The only thing that hasn't been replaced is that
directional valve 'thingy' which, I'm guessing, acts as a failsafe.
Have bled the brakes numerous times, however, the pedal keeps
travelling to the floor. Is that...

'68 Mustang gear shift by
Ron Patterson
I have to rechrome my floor mounted gear shift shaft for a 4 speed
transmission - I can see how to disassemble the shifter from the trans and
the leather knob from the shaft - but how can you remove the rubber boot
from he shaft
since the "T" pull handle is in the way. It looks like that...

'68 Stang Door Watershields-Which way? by
c m prince
I decided to add new watershields(dust shields) to the doors while doing
other work on them. The repro shields I have are brown paper on one side and
slick black on the other side. Should the slick black side go inside or show
outside(toward the interior)?

'69 brake rotor question. by
Mark C.
I'm installing a set of new, quality stock replacement rotors on my '69
mach. What is the best way to keep the "rough" areas from turning rust
brown? I'm not sure if caliper paint rated at 900' will hold up, especially
in the cooling fins area. Plating or buying a plated set of rotors is not...

'69 Mach 1 ID. by
Mark C.
Hi folks, I just bought what I was told is a '69 Mach 1. I haven't located a
body buck tag for it yet and I think the door sticker has been painted over.
Are ther any other definate ways identifying it as a MACH? It has the deluxe
interior, cobra jet hood scoop with hood pins, fold down rear seat,...

'69 mustang moulding question by
Mark C.
I just installed the moulding around the grill on my '69. It's made by a
company called corvex and its pure crap. Nothing fits right. Is it supposed
to be aluminum or stainless steel? Is this the only company that makes trim
for early mustangs or is there a better company out there?

'69 rubber gasket on bottom of door. by
66 6F HCS
I can't tell how to install these suckers. I can see the holes in the door
where the screws go, but I can't figure out which way the "L" gasket faces
or which surface the screws go through to hold it on. Anybody know?

'70 mustang question. by
Mark
Hi Folks, I just bought a nice clean '70 sportsroof with no engine or
transmission. I've got a built up 351W I could install in it but I was
tossing around the idea of installing a 460 block. Will this fit and do you
know of any companies that make headers for it? How about a manual
transmission...

'70 Mustang tach dash conversion question by
lxixboss
I found a 1970 Cougar carcass with a tach dash. I took the tach and
have jerry-rigged it to my '70 Mustang's instrument cluster. Looks
good with the white face overlay. I've grounded the back of the tach
to the car's chassis and have run one of the two leads to my ignition
switch for power and the...

I recently pulled my motor apart for a what I believe is its first rebuild.
While taking the motor apart I noticed something that seemed odd. the
camshaft sprocket has a plastic type substance that was between the teeth.
It looks like the plastic was molded to the metal sprocket. Was this...

'71 Tires and Wheels by
Scott Van Nest
I just saw the '67 from a few posts ago with the 17 inch wheels. I don't
think it looks too bad. What would it take to put a set of those GT wheels
on my '71? Do you have to use a spacer to move the wheel out past the
upper control arm? Saleen is advertising a set for $374.
