In Dash Vacuum Gauge by
nvrpc
I am looking for an in dash vacuum gauge that has a colored face. This is
one that usually goes into the red when you have you foot in it and stays in
the green when you drive normal. Do any of you know where I can buy one of
these?
Thanks

LO-OW oil pressure by
moitz
Just got a 1989 Cherokee 4.0L with 240k. Oil pressure with a cold
start is in the 40 psi range, but after it's good and warm, drops to
about ~5 psi at idle in gear. Cruising at 50 with a warm engine, I'm
at about 25-30 psi. The range is about the same as my '91 (20-45psi,
up to 65ish when on the...

Blow-by question by
Daniel Paisley
I know that blow-by has been discussed here a number of times, and it
seems that it is quite common in the 258's. I have talked to a few
people with 258's that have the problem and offered advice that I've
read here, all the way to changing the oil fill cap. My question is
this. How much is _too_...

OT, air horns by
Paul Calman
So I'm goofing around in the shop, and I have this set of P-3 Nathan
Airchimes from a diesel locomotive, just sitting on the shelf collecting
dust. I start looking at my Goldwing. Now, there was no beer involved, but
neverless, something weird happened. This thing is really fun. One of my
friends...

05 Jeep grand by
Joe
I have a Jeep "wk" with the hemi. I have to say it is shortening my life!
Does anyone know what is causing the vibration/hesitation when the throttle
is lightly applied?
I understand I may get flamed or ridiculed, but I am going crazy. My wife's
"WJ" and my daughter's "XJ" run better!
Thanks Joe

Army Jeep Highway Speeds by
geigertube
(apologies if this gets posted twice, google burped on me)
All:
I'm considering purchasing an old army jeep for restoration, to be used
as a street vehicle. I'm not that interested in a faithful restoration
of the powertrain, but would like to strike a good compromise between
external aesthetics...

97 Jeep Cherokee Country fuel pump problems by
William Bushnell
My friend has fuel pump problems with a 97 Jeep Cherokee Country. There seem
to be no after market replacement fuel pumps and buying a new one from the
dealer almost requires taking out a loan.
Is there a sol;ution to replacing the fuel pump at a resonable price. I have
checked several wrecked...

Grand Wagoneer undercoating? by
Frank Townsend
Hello:
I have been reading the ng for a while and am impressed with the level of
expertise!
I hope someone can help me with a question.
Is there any downside to having the underside of my 1989 Grand Wagoneer
sandblasted and undercoated? Is it beneficial? I had once read that some
of the old...

I'm looking for any information anyone can give on where to obtain the
LONG bolt used for loosening or tightening the serpentine belt (is the

Me and wifey have been tinkering with the idea of adding a second XJ to our
fleet, I was wondering if anyone here might have some insight on what I
should beware of on an '88 2 door, 4.0, 5sp. ? I only talked to the
current owner over the phone and here's what he said 5sp, newer clutch...
