Replacing thermal actuator for 4wd by
Brdevore
Greetings,
I recently had a problem with my 95 Tahoe, and it's thermal actuator. I
replaced the unit with the stock replacement from the dealer.
I still do not have four wheel drive. The indicator light now blinks, as
opposed to blowing fuses as it did earlier.
As I screwed the new unit into the...

Pulling Force by
g3_josh
I've got a simple problem for y'all but it its going to have a
complicated answer. Let me set up a senario: You've got a
rope, cable, chain, or other pulling device that (ignoring shock
loading) has a break strength of 40,000 lbs. How large of a vehicle
can I "get unstuck"? Specifically though I'd...

Help please! Tell me your opinion of Opel Frontera! by
Peter

I have Frontera 2000 2.2Tdi, and it's a good car. If you thought 2.4i
gasoline is sluggish, you'll probably find 2.2tdi underpowered as well, but
it's enough for me. Especially when the...

Rocky
I need to replace the original rear U-Joints on my 1989 Full Size
Chevy Blazer. I was looking at them and noticed that they do not have
the usual circlips but instead there is some sort of plug or pin going
into the side of the bearing cups. How do I take these apart myself if
possible. I do not...

First off, I'm not sure if this is the group for this, but please
don't flame me if it is not. Rather, please point me in the right

4x4 Stolen by
Joe Garcia
My 2002 4Runner was stolen, and then recovered by the police 24 hours
later.
They busted the rear panel of the passenger side window to get in. I
am assuming so because I found tinted broken glass where I last left
my car.
The curious thing is: there is no damage to the steering column nor
the...

Ford Escape off road capabilities? by
Chenz759
Hello,
I'll be in the market for a new car in the next few months and
I'm thinking about a 4x4. Since I'm a 20K+ mile per year commuter,
I want something that is comfortable and fun to drive, gets decent
gas mileage and is under $30K. I do a fair bit of surf
fishing, so I'd like to get something I...

this affect on cornering on pavement roads, and slippery surfaces like mud
and ice when all four wheels are in drive, and will this be a problem if it
is in...
