Gettin ready for the weekend! by Kate[_6_]
Are any of the rest of you going out this weekend? Usually hubs and I stick pretty close to home on Memorial weekend. Too many idiots out there on the highways. This year, we decided to get out for a few days with the Jeep club. We're going to Coon Creek. This weekend is our club run and on June...

brakes - front vs rear by ps56k
my son took his jeep in to check the brakes... they replaced the rear rotors (60k) and pads, fronts were ok. I was wondering..... can brakes be treated like tires ? are they the same front/rear ? Since he now has new rotors and pads on the rear, could he - instead - move the front rotors & pads...

97 ZJ w/ATC - Blower Motor Resistor "Break in" by jamest
Just a few days ago. I had a burning smell when my ac would kick in-- check the blower resistor and saw the connector was discolored and smelled. So I changed the resistor and things seem fine other than sometime i still get a whiff of something "electrical". Could this be the resistor "breaking...

92 YJ New Fuel Pump - No Pressure by KH
I recently installed a new fuel pump in my 92 YJ 4.0L. After getting everything back together the Jeep started right up and I drove it around with no issues. After parking it would not start again. I pulled the sending line and turn the key on. I could hear the fuel pump start but no fuel was...

T-90 grinding by Charles[_3_]
My T-90 transmission grinds when going from 1st to 2nd. It does not, however, grind when going from 3rd to 2nd. I think this rules out the synchro as the problem. Any idea what the problem could be? I was wondering if it could be related to the shifter mechanism, such that it was actually...

Short in a '53 M38A1 by steve.newhouse
Hello, I've got a rookie question for the veterans out there. I have a '53 M38A1 that runs very nicely except that I believe there is a short circuit somewhere causing the battery to drain after about 24 to 48 hours. To prevent this, I added a removable battery post screw which I take off when I...

CJ7 idle again by David Harmon
Cold, it starts easily, idles, and runs just fine. After warm-up, starts with the accelerator floored, idles not at all, but runs just fine at normal speeds. I pulled out the BBD idle tube assembly. It was clean. I cleaned it again and put it back. No difference. I pinched off the charcoal...

The ONLY one here that is dumber than Bill Hughes ... by Jeff Strickland
is the asshole that argues with him. For Christ's sake, give it a rest and move on. Even better, move out. We've all learned what Bill is about, and we don't give a rat's ass. He is a great resource for links, even if he tends to digress and give replies that are out in left field. You, on the...

Jeep = gone. by XS11E[_3_]
I've thought of parting with my '93 GC Limited for quite some time now, I have no use for the 4WD as I'm no longer able to walk more than a few feet and I'm afraid to go off road for fear of a breakdown, even a flat is now beyond my ability to repair. I get around by mobility scooter now and I...

Please Stop The Non-Sense by Coasty[_7_]
Come on fellows can't we all just get along? This whole mess is about casting the first stone and will go on forever. It is exactly like the Israel and Palestine they have been fighting for thousands of years with no relief in sight. They say each started it and keep throwing rocks. Can we be...

Secured the rear seat? by Brewer[_2_]
I just bought a 2000 TJ (first jeep) and I wanted to know if there was a way to lock the rear seat down. I put my windows behind the seat and know if anyone wants to see what is in my "trunk" they can just pull the seat up. Thanks

Card code lost!!! by nichollette
Hi, I recently bought a Jeep Orvis (1998) in the UK, and was told the car code was with the documentation - but I've checked, and it's nowhere to be found. The previous owner has moved house, and now I'm stuck without a radio/cd player! I'm trying to trace the original Jeep supplier, but I...
