Gas tank interchange for a 1960 bug. by
[email protected]
Can anyone please tell me what years gas tank could easily fit into my
1960 Bug? I am looking for a new tank because mine does not have a fuel
guage, nor a place to put one. It is a hump style tank. My vehicle is
converted to 12v, just wandering if a 67 or similiar gas tank would
easily fit, so I...

Hi All,
Today is supposed to be the beetle's day and we should go for our
jobs on our beetles or may be just a ride on the end off the day to
celebrate.

Couple of questions about 70 engine woes by
rdoc
Hello... The extended family has this dune buggy homebuilt from a 70 Beetle
that gets passed around to the kids but so far from one to the next that
nobody even really knows the others... bunch of hillbilly farmers spread out
that don't like to see anything die as long as someone can use it.

REALTOR, Found Corvair on Piece of Property by
Don[_2_]
I am totally new to this group and have found an old Corvair in
Lawrenceville, Georgia in the woods of a piece of property that a
family is selling. Is there a likelihood that someone would want to
recover this old Corvair for parts? I know that there are a few bullet
holes in it and that it was...

Aftermarket Gauge troubles by
jtbartlett
Hello group. It's been a while since I've posted but new problems seem
to crop up. I have installed a trio of aftermarket gauges to monitor
engine activity out back. Following the manufacturer's instructions has
been a bit troublesome. Engine is currently not firing (intentionally)
while I try to...

Engine lid by
zigford
The 57 I obtained recently is missing the engine lid. It did come with
two spares from a 60 something bug. Without much effort I had a quick
go at installing one of these lids and it doesn't seem to fit.
Will one of these actually fit on my 57 (oval), and I just need to put
a bit more omph into...

Phweem by
JeffRens
.....Or something like that, I've seen it called. This is surely a
silly question to the people in this newsgroup, but what is the
chirping sound unique to the VW engine. I've had several people
ask me about it and I had to plead ignorant... Thanks Jeff

link to record engine swap video by
JohnF
Anybody have a link to a video of one of the record attempt VW engine
swaps? Nobody here believes me that the record is around 2 mins. I
have the one from the Guinness site but that's cheating, they had the
1st one already off the ground, at least in the video. I want one
where they have to drive...
