heater core, remove from cooling loop? by FragSinatra
If a heater core is leaking, is it possible to just somehow bypass the entire heater core in the cooling loop? I don't really need a heater core in Southern California and it isn't worth the trouble to R&R it. --- news://freenews.netfront.net/ - complaints: ---

Dodge Durango - Max Tire Size with stock wheels? by [email protected]
I've got an '02 Dodge Durango 4x2 used 99% on-road as my daily driver. The original tires are shot and needing replaced. I like the look of slightly larger, beefier tires, but considering the primarily street usage of this vehicle and its lack of 4WD, I don't want to go to all the effort and...

2004 JGC 4wd NOT for dirt, per dealer by [email protected]
What is going on with Chrysler selling Jeeps? I own a 2004 4wd Jeep Grand Cherokee, Limited Edition. Last night my engine warning light came on (47,056 mi.). I took the Jeep into my dealer, Don-A-Vee, Placentia, CA to have it repaired. The problem was a faulty Evaporative Pump and the repairs are...

Help: 89 XJ Rear End Seized UP by 89 LTD
I was camping last week in the wilds of British Columbia and I guess I somehow knocked on something and lost my rear diff fluid. About 500 KM's later, when climbing a long, long uphill paved road, my rear end locked up solid (the entire case was sizzling like a frying pan!). The truck is now...

Wagoneer AMC360 HEI Ignition by [email protected]
Does anyone have any opinions or thoughts on the advantages/ disadvantages of converting an AMC360 ignition from standard distributor to HEI? Are there different HEI installations that apply to the AMC360? I had heard that the HEI distributor was more moisture-resistant than OEM installed...

One Less WJ On The Road by Grumman-581
Well, it seems that there is going to be one less WJ on the road in Houston... Grace had an accident in her 2001 Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4 early this evening... From what I've been able to gather, a white Ford Mustang swerved into her lane on the highway and she slammed on her brakes and attempted...

YJ Transmission Problem by Steve Landis
95 YJ 2.5 5 spd 100K - and I'm 3 month newbie jeep owner. 2 days ago, driving on the highway at 60 mph in 5th gear 2wd, seemed to "freewheel" for about 2 seconds and then re-engage. I looked in the rear view to see if I had just gone over a patch of ice, didn't see anything. Then I heard the...

The reviews are in and they're not good. by Outatime[_1_]
http://www.edmunds.com/apps/vdpcontainers/do/vdp/articleId=116688/pageNumber=1#6 Edmund's reviewers didn't like the new Unlimited at all. Interesting read. And apparently, the new V-6 engine was a real disappointment.

My wife is going to kill me! by Tim J
She's been bugging me to get rid of the '84 CJ7 that I have. And what happens? A Co-worker and I are talking, and he has a '80 CJ7 that's been sitting around for 10 years. He had it running well, decided to strip it down to the frame to do some repair and found the frame was rusted through in...

Hello all, Can anyone instruct me or point me to a website that can give me pointers on recharging the AC system in my Sport? I've read that it uses the R132a that you can buy just about anywhere. However, I'm not sure how to do the recharge. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks,
