91 Wrangler failed emissions by
[email protected]
All,
My 91 Wrangler 4.0 failed emissions. It has 136k miles. It's been
getting bad mileage for a while. I had the garage run their
diagnostics. Their recommendation was to change the O2 sensor, change
oil, do fuel induction service. I can change the O2 sensor and oil,
but what is the induction...

RE-GEARING TO EITHER 3.73 OR 4.11 (repeat -- sorry) by
Tracie
I have posted this once today, but for some reason it did not post.
If anyone finds it, sorry for the duplicate post.
Anyhoo, I definitely want to re-gear but I am not sure if the 3.73 or
the 4.11 ratio would be better for me. I currently have 31" BFG All
Terrain T/A KOs, but will definitely...

Darn Tire Pressure sensors by
Perry Smith
Hi,
I have an '04 Liberty Limited Edition and the only complaint that I have are
with those @#!%$# radio transmittors in the valve stems (Tire Pressure
Monitoring Display) which are too sensitive to temperature change and
produce annoying alarms.
Definitely not for cold climates!

Its a 98 TJ, wearing a set of RE long arms. I sheared a bolt off the drivers side
rear upper arm, at the skid plate end of the arm (center of Jeep). I cant get a bolt
back thru the joint and the mount, its like it wants to be at some weird angle - yes
I have tried moving the joint around, but I...

How do you store your hard top? by
Kate
I am looking at all of this stuff on the web and my owner's manual says
store it flat on the floor.
Is anyone using the vertical cart system?
Any other suggestions?
Hubs is getting ready to build an electric hoist and rack system for it, we
may just leave it up there like a pinata...

New at this, trying to understand horse power by
Brian Foster
I have a 4.0 liter 6 cylinder in my GC. The Infinity FX35 has 3.5 liter 6
cylinder that delivers 280 hp and about the same mileage as my jeep.
How is the Infinity getting so much more HP and the same gas mileage with
smaller displacement?
We're talking 40% more HP.
Is it better Technology or...

Strange? Question... by
[email protected]
OK, it's just a question.
Has anyone tried waxing their windshield?
The reason I ask is because I remember hearing somewhere that this may
help with the pitting. My windshield looks like it's been sandblasted
(escpecially driving in to the sun) and I figure I'll try almost
anything before I buy...

1982 CJ-7 by
Norman
Until 8 months ago, I faithfully locked in my hubs and drove 5 miles to
lubricate the axle while driving off road. Last September I moved from the
AZ desert to Washington State. My Jeep has been parked for 7 months after
driving it 1500 miles to get it here.
I went to an off road park to lock in...

Some miserable SOB got my gas again! by
Mike Romain
Damn it, this is the 3rd or 4th time this year I have only had enough
gas left in the tank to start it and back out of the driveway when it up
and dies.
That fast spin up after die that means no gas.
I know I had over 50 liters in it this time, the first couple times I
thought I missed my...

Thought my Rubicon could fly - oops by
swbell
While driving Saturday, I tried to see how high I could jump my 03 Rubicon.I
was aired down to 18 lbs, and had my sway bar disconnected. Stock 31 MTRs.
From the video, it appears I leveled out at 5 feet.
After hitting the ground, my right front wheel was missing about eight
inches off the inside...

death wobble!! by
Cal
Hi!
It seems our 97 wrangler has developed the 'death wobble.' Occasionally,
after i guess hitting a bump just right, we get a severe wobble in the
steering wheel that will only stop after slowing down. I have checked
linkages in the suspension, and the only play i can find is in the
stabilizer...

Question Electric fan by
Earle Horton
It depends on the use to which you put the vehicle. It is OK for the four
cylinder engine, used mainly for commuting purposes. For wheeling and back
country roads it comes on a lot. You do not really want to have to depend
on an electric fan, for a long climb over rough terrain. I don't think...
