Possible Trolls? by
Eric
Does anyone else wonder if the sudden rash of posts about issues with the
new hemi are from trolls? I mean, c'mon, the GC isn't the only vehicle with
the hemi (Magnum, Dodge P/U, etc.). Not saying it is or isn't true, but it
just seems like there are a few "newbies" posting the same things. If...

OT - 225 and counting :-( by
Frank_v7.0
My message filter (in Mozilla Thunderbird) has deleted 225 messages in
this group since last night. I haven't been keeping exact counts, but
I'm sure the previous "high" count was in the 80s. I sincerely hope all
the good folks in this group have and are using message filters and/or
kill files....

Dear Mr. Hughes... by

This 'love affair' these guys from shaw.ca have with you is getting old.
And your response is getting even older. Please take it to email.
Go ahead and flame me, I'll take it. I'm a grown boy.
My 8th grade science teacher said he always ended his ham radio
chats with the words, "Have a...

soft top clear moonroof by
Captain Purple
Well I finally got around to doing it again! I had done this to another YJ a few years
back and it was spectacular.
Of course everyone said "does it leak?" Not only doesn't it leak, but because of the
slipstream, it doesn't even get dirty!
It's spectacular in the rain and awesome on a starry...

{{ OT }} Bodies ... the Exhibition by

This is VERY cool. If you have not been, you ought to go. If they were
holding it longer in my area, I would go again.

Way cool!
I'm sure at least one of them drove a Toyota, or a Jeep ...

Radio stopped working on low battery by
axel
2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee
My friend's Jeep has a low battery which ultimately needs to be
replaced, it already left her stranded once. The battery puts out 9V
only, it still cranks the car but barely. When the engine runs the
voltage coming out of the alternator is about 12+ V so the...

Close Call! by
Stimpy
OK, I'm now still shaking from out little trip up a mountain road to play in
the snow. We went up this seemingly harmless road I have been up several
times before. I noticed sliding in some places on the way up so I decided to
turn around (good thing I did when I did, 'cause it got steeper from...

bouncy front end by
Mythic
I have a stock (no lift etc.) '97 TJ Sport, sometimes when I go over a
significant bump on the road, it feels like the tires are bouncing off
the road. I am assuming I need to replace the shocks. Does this seem right?
Thanks!

would painting the wrangler camouflage be street legal? by
Jerry Bransford[_2_]
Good point Jeff. I used to fly the occasional SAR mission (always
just
practice, never actually got called to fly a real SAR mission) and I
discovered that it's hard enough to find a normally painted vehicle
that
is sitting in open terrain, let alone one that was painted with a
camouflage...

Hey Ya'll! by
Kate
Thought I would jump in and introduce myself.
I'm located in west Tennessee, only been here a couple of years though.
After about ten years of driving Mustangs traded off my 98 Cobra drop top
for a 2005 Liberty Limited 4x4 .
I traded in my California car for something more regionally correct.

The new GC with Hemi by
Brian Foster
I saw the new GC with the 5.7? L Hemi when my 02 GC was in for service
recently (recall on the gas tank).
Has anyone tried these out yet? The one in the showroom was decked out and
it had about a $40k sticker on it.

CB power by

Hey fellas. I'm wiring a new CB tomorrow and I want to do it right. I
can't find the exact answer I'm looking for on the All Seeing Eye, so
here I am.
When wiring power, I understand it's best to go to the source (battery).
What I don't know is...
1. Should BOTH the red AND black wire be...

Mismatched tire brands by
[email protected]
Hi there, I've got a Jeep Wrangler 2001, and I have 3 Firestone brand
tires, and one original brand, came with the vehicle. They are the
same diameter, just different brands. One has gone flat, and the tire
dealer refuses to sell me a new one -- he says I risk serious damage to
the differential,...

258 ignition timing by
csdude
Hello,
I think I need to do something about the ignition timing in my Jeep.
One of the things it does is; it 'diesels' a bit after I shut the
engine off.
Here is what I found in the manuals:
79 258 with bbd carb and manual transmission:
timing: 6 - 8 degrees BTDC

POLL: Bill Hughes = Private Pyle From Full Metal Jacket? by
Cassandra Incognito
I just realized where I thought I'd seen Bill's type before. I think
the character played by Vincent D'Onofrio in "Full Metal Jacket" is the
absolute epitome of Bill Hughes.
Of course, I could be wrong. All in favor, say "AYE!" All opposed, say
"NAY!"

Billie gets booted out of the MinuetMen by
Pink Freud©®
No details yet; hopefully soon, but it seems to have been at least a few
weeks ago.
So what will we get?
Screed. He'll call me a liar. Actual details? Never.
But by Bill's Law, I don't have to provide any evidence at all, HE has to
prove me wrong -- or sue me for Definition of Character.
