Idle drops when stopping. Recent rebuild on the carb. Idle drops down to 200-300 and sometimes stalls all together when stopping. I have ensured the idle tubes are clean and the hole size is .032" and the idle still drops when stoppping. Need to give the gas pedal a shot before motor will...

88YJ Heater Blower Motor Problems by rjmax
My blower only works on high. The other speeds don't work. I have been told it is the blower motor resistor (pack). Mine only has two coils on it and no other resistors. Is this the problem still? The coils look fine.

89 Chero auto trans mods, steering? by Stupendous Man
The automatic has 3 forward positions, (over) Drive, 3, and "1-2". Pretty silly, on many of these mountain roads 3 is too high and if you put it in 1-2 it kicks into 1 unexpectedy. Anyone know if you can modify the trans to go into 2 without enabling low? The thing has a 4 inch lift on it, the...

89 cherokee 4wd engage/disengage problem by scmadhatter

89 Cherokee 4x4 won't engage on the fly by [email protected]
I have an 89 Cherokee, five-speed, I6 4.0 engine with 4hi and 4lo. I paid a mechanic some good money to replace a clutch slave cylinder and got more problems than what he fixed. A few attempts back to him to "fix" things, and he evidently doesn't know how to work on it... Now when I try to engage...

89 Jeep Cherokee 4L Weird starting problem by Glen Hudgin
My Cherokee starts fine but as soon as I touch the brake pedal it kills the engine. If I keep my foot on the brake pedal it won't start. I tried disconnecting the wire to the brake light switch but if I do this it won't start. The brake lights work fine and the hazard lights work so I don't think...

89 XJ Death Wobble now deceased by Budd Cochran[_2_]
Previously I replaced my 9 front suspension and track bar bushings which seem to aggravate my wobble so I then replaced all my tie rod ends except the track bar. Then I set my toe-in to zero. On a 75 mile round trip from Canon City CO to Pueblo CO at 65 mph, I had absolutely no shimmy, wobble,...
