Back Fire by
FC Bill
I have a 1970 bug with a1500 motor in it, a new carb, distributor,
wires, and plugs all new. Recently my son and I pulled the motor and
resealed it; all new gaskets from the case out. Now that it is back
together it is running better than ever with one exception; it back
fires under load. While...

What's your preference. Run a new fuel line through the interior . Or
under the car. Instead of through the tunnel.

Bus 50 years yesterday by
Tuomas
Hello!
I forgot to advertise this event here yesterday, but I remembered it and
co-owner (Hannu) bothered to make small "50y" badges and drive around town.
:) (see links)
Originally a panel van, windows and foldable seats modified later,
manufactured at 8th of November, 1960.
Some story about...

I have moved. Again :) by
Jan Andersson[_5_]
Only 15 minutes from the old place in Virginia (Front Royal).
But I now have a nice little house with a shed in the back, which will

Yet ;)
No room to get a car in, but the shed has a car port extension on two
sides so...

George[_27_]
I just paid $180 to have them replaced. and I delivered the beam to the
shop.
DIY Question is; could I've done it with a 12 ton shop press? I see
Harbour Freight has them for $130
I may be doing the job on a bus.
TIA

Valve train geometry question help please ! by
Jim Ed
After I adjusted the no 3 exhaust valve, only about ½ the lock nut
threads were holding the adjusting screw. Most of the other adjustment
screw lock nuts look OK.
I have been doing this for years.
Is this anything to worry about?
I think this is caused by the cylinder head being pushed out by...

balanced or unbalanced engines. by
DogDiesel
I'm not complaining, I find the engine vibration is just fine in Bugs. But
would it be better if you get a balanced and counter weighted crankshaft.
For engine life and less vibration. If you're going to rebuild one.

But I'm still on the fence.

A sweet ride today. by
DogDiesel
I got a nice long ride in a 72 standard today. The suspension bangs front
and back over some not even big bumps . Road cracks . mild pot hole. I
know its lubed up., Is this normal part of torsion bar suspension noise .
