anyone have experience with a belt tensioner?
Looks like a great way to have more contact between belt and gen/alt.
pulley. hence less slippage, longer belt life.

generator q. by
A Veteran
What usually goes when a generator burns out. I mean if its not the
brushes or the regulator, what part the windings or the commutator that
is the culprit? what are the odds.

T1.8 Timing belt by
A New Beetle Driver
I'm taking a 2000 1.8L Turbo Beetle in for the 70,000 mile check up
soon. Should I preemptively change the timing belt or wait until I hit
100,000? How much should changing the belt add to the cost of the check
up? For that matter, how much should a check up cost?
Thanks.
