'87 Scirocco 16V Oil pan by
Bill Leary
My son hit an object and smashed in the oil pan on my 1987 Scirocco 16V.
I'm assuming the oil pan from other years (86, 88, like that) of this car
will fit. But as I recall the block here is pretty common. Are there other
years and models I could get an oil pan off off in a bone yard and be...

Dave[_39_]
An acquaintance, backyard mechanic, messed with my air flow sensor setting
screw. It ran okay for awhile, but now is running very rich as judged by
mpg and the tailpipe black color. Mpg went from 34 mpg average to 29. He
screwed it in alot beyond where the factory locked it in with some...

Golf keeps stalling, mechanics can't find problem by
Chris Wilkinson[_2_]
I have a 96 Golf, 2.0L gas engine, that occasionally loses power and stalls,
usually in stop & go traffic. It is throwing the code P0134, which is for
an oxygen sensor not responding.
Both O2 sensors have been replaced twice in the past year. The car has
received new wires, plugs, distributor...

Thoughts on current-era VWs? by
Andrew Sullivan
Hi all,
After several years carless, I am facing the possibility of having to
buy a car again.
I had several A1 Sciroccos, though an 84 that lasted nearly 20 years
before giving up the ghost (my father finally drove it into the
ground). I liked them, because they were fun to drive,...
