oil temp gauge by
Christian Petersen
Hi,
My oil temperature gauge has never been above 80 degrees C on motorway
driving, in the city it's closer to 70 C.
It's that normal? (Or what is it supposed to show?)
Also, can anyone tell me where I find the switch for the boot light?
(as the bulb seems to be fine)
thanks,
Christian, Denmark

location in the shop manual calls it a vapor canister) Have checked all
Houston local parts shops and another 5 on the web with not much luck.

OK, the idea of a V6 is appealing at the moment..... by
SteveH
Right, it comes down to this:
I get 28mpg from my Marea on my commute.
The company pays a pittance - 20p / mile. However, roughly speaking,
given that the first 10 miles each way come out of my pocket, I claim
back roughly 70 quid per week..... of which I like to put some away...

One week with an Alfa GT by
Ivan
Just reporting back after a week of ownership of an Alfa GT 1.9 JTD.
Do I miss the 156 V6? Yes and no!
How could anyone ever forget the sound of an Alfa V6 flat out! The JTD is no
comparison...obviously!
But I do like the "GTA like" push you get with the JTD between 2 and 5k!
The handling and...

Alfa 33 16v Cloverleafs, that is.
Makes me wish I'd had mine fixed, rather than flogging it as 'spares or
repairs' on ebay....
Wonder how many 75s are left these days?

The seller suggests it's an easy repair.
I'd suggest it's terminally bent.

Opinions on the 147 please by
R C Nesbit
SWMBO, as a part of the belt-tightening is planning to sell
her beloved MX5 and buying an Alfa 147.
Cash is an issue, and there are a few nice looking examples
on Autotrader and Ebay at around the £1200-£1300 mark.
So is there anything specific to look for on these other

I've gotten some larger photos from the seller, if someone wants to see
them to give a better opinion.
I can see it isn't immaculate, and the interior needs a good sorting,
but apart from that what do you think?

Opinions, please by
SteveH
My 155 is looking as though it's not worth keeping as a long term
proposition, so I'm looking around for a replacement at the moment.
I've found 2 alternatives:
155 TSpark 8v 'narrowbody' - currently on ebay, and I reckon the final
price will be around £600. 66k miles, full history.

My dealer said that the delivery is set to summer 2006. :) I'll just have to

Can anyone here help me with my new Tom Tom Go 300? Mine just arrived and

know what I need, they know what I need, but their 'new' Home2 software
doesn't work on my PC, so I can't update...
