My '69 Bug won't idle. by
nowan
Gave up trying to get all the performance issues ironed out of my old carb

rebuilt Solex and popped it on. Started well, runs much better than the old
one but it too will not let the car idle. Engine dies as soon as rpms drop...

notlove
When it first appeared in Detroit back in January the Bluesport concept stirred talk of the revival of the roadster segment, and especially the Porsche 914 and 356. Unfortunately, the Porsche's rebirth was ruled out last month, and this had led to fears that the same fate may ensue for a planned...

gear oil instead of grease in my cv joints? by
[email protected]
Hello,
I pulled the cv joints on the transaxle-end of my axles, and found that they
were full of what appeared to be 90wt gear oil. I understand that they should
have been packed with grease?
This is the first time I've had these joints apart (previous owner was kind of
an idiot, so I'm concerned...

[email protected]
Hello,
I have a buggy project that I'm working on, and there is a slight bend in the
right side rear torsion tube. It's not a big bend -- it's about enough to throw
the right side of the body about an inch higher than the left side.
The previous owner had rewelded part of the torsion housing and...

Removing screws that will not come out. by
Noice87
The screw that holds the circular metal piece around the head light
will not come out. I am sure it is stripped now as my dad tried to
drill it out. Any ideas? The left one came out just fine. I need it
out so I can finish removing the fender.
Thanks Steven
