IS THIS TOO MUCH TO ASK? by

Year, make, model, engine type and size, transmission option, approx
mileage of vehicle you need help with.
Post resolution/fix for everybody's edification. Why would we be here
if we didn't have an interest in seeing your problem resolved? You
know, offering advice on this board doesn't pay...

Can I get rid of tyhe EGR valve? by
hhggffdd
I had to put a tranny in my demo derby car (1983 Chevy Cavalier 2.0)
and noticed that almost every vacuum hose is dry rotted. Temporarily
I disconnected the main vacuum feed and capped it off at the manifold.
It doesn't run all that good this way though. I'd like to leave all
the vacuum hoses...

the wheel went left and right in quite a pronounced fashion.. any

I've removed all engine to ATX bolts. Put ATX on a transmission jack,
and very easily pried the ATX case from the engine block with just a
screwdriver, then my hands. Engine is supported with a top style
engine stand, so no binding between engine and ATX...

using lacquer thinner on car? by
[email protected]
I had small bits of weeds stuck to my new car (from a storm), which
were then baked onto the paint by the hot sun. I got the weeds off by
washing, but there remains small brown stains,
specks, really, where the weeds once were. A friend told me lacquer
thinner is completely safe to use on a car...

2003 Mazda Tribute:Noise from Roof? by
[email protected]
Hi,
My 2003 Mazda Tribute makes a strange clunking sound most of the time
when I hit a bump in the road. I tried to trace the sound and it seems
to be coming from inside the roof in the very back. I tried oiling the
hinge to the trunk and removing the crossbars from the roof rack.
Neither of...

91 regal 3800 Damper removal by
Bob La Rocca
Trying to replace the crank sensor on this '91 Regal 3800. Got the bolt out
but can't budge the damper. Other Buicks I've worked on the damper just
pulled off. I tried a 3 bolt puller and it looked like it just stressed the
damper so I stopped. Is there a special tool or technique?
I've...

1991 Ford Explorer Gas Gauge stuck past FULL by
Michael Funaro
Any one had any personal experience on this. I have read on some
forums that it could be the sender or the plug near the tank/wiring. I
was hoping for a easier fix than pulling the tank. Thanks, Mike
