My '58 Type I turns over but won't start.
I have no idea what I'm talking about, but I'm trying to learn; I'm surfing
for answers on the 'net and scouring my two books, but until three days ago
had absolutely no idea of what anything in the engine is for, what the
components are called, et...

Andrew

Andrew
Once again, I am baffled.. always need more help. If anyone could help
me out, here is my new situation. I bought a 69 Bug, it's the one with

beast. My 1960 has 2.5 drop spindles and the fender rides at the top
of the tire. A 2.5...

I was sitting here finding parts to swap out the tranny in my 58' bug.
When I realized I have the frame that my other tranny came from and since I
was going to restore my frame anyways. Why not restore the other frame and
put my body on it, then I would not have to modify anything to make...

regulator. Both problems appeared when I took the car out of storage last

rebuilding C.V. joints, put balls back in same place? by
andy everett
I have an 80 Vanagon and hope to go on a long trip. Having bought new CV
joint boots I thought it time to replace them.
?
When rebuilding constant velocity joints should one mark and identify
parts so they all go back where they came from. This would add extra
labor so is it worth it or even...

C.V. joints, extend life by swapping driver to passenger side? by
andy everett
I have rebuilt C.V. joints for my 80 vanagon and in the process I tired
to keep track of the individual joints, driver in, driver out, passenger
in passenger out. There was some pitting in the races, but only in one
direction of rotation. After assembly, keeping all parts in there old
places...
