DAWN, clean to a fault. by
Dad[_1_]
Since I may have been guilty of starting this silly subject by stating that I
use Dawn to wash my car here is some of what is said about Dawn soap on
http://www.dawn-dish.com/
Don't put the Dawn away after the dishes are done. Dawn is great for all sorts
of other chores. Try it diluted in water...

Tire Pressure Monitor by
Luke
I have a 2004 Cadillac CTS-V (w/ Corvette Z06 LS-6 engine). Recently, I had
my tires rotated, and now the display for the tire pressure is wrong. It
reports the pressure for the back tires as the front tires. The Cadillac
dealer wants $15 to "recalibate" the system, but I'd like to do myself....

2014 Corvette by
uncle_vito
http://www.automobilemag.com/features/news/1005_2014_chevrolet_c7_corvette/index.html
I may actually be interested in buying a new Corvette. A smaller, higher
revving, variable overhead cam design with direct fuel injection may be in
order for 2014. The present C6 has a neanderthal pushrod V-8...

Corvette prices in UK - why so high? by
Jim Hatfield
I'd be interested in comments by UK Corvette drivers on the seemingly
astronomical prices they go for. If you look at www.corvette.co.uk, in
the "list of cars" section, you see a 2003 Anniversary edition for
£35,995 - that would be $65,870 at the current exchange rate of $1.83.
Also, does anyone...

Loose rearview mirror on C6 by
Ron Stewart
I just had the windshield replaced on my 2005 C6 and now the mirror is loose
and and wobbles up and down going over even small bumps. The guy that did
the work did a beautiful job on the windshield but I'm not sure about his
knowledge on this problem. There is lots of discussion on the Corvette...

76 Difficult Cold Starts by
daveo76
My relatively stock, L48 '76 is getting more difficult to cold start.
I'm probably up to 10 seconds of total cranking time for most
overnight cold starts. It starts fine after sitting all day at work
and it also starts great hot. The choke appears to be working fine.
I've recently replaced the...

Run Flat tire question by
H and A
Found a nail in the tread portion on one of my Goodyear Run Flat tires.
Once removed, is this something that can be plugged, without harming the
tire pressure sensor? Any thing special I need to know about repairing the
tire before I remove the nail?

I had the opportunity to get a look at the C7 in town. Our first (small town). It seems as though the roof has been dropped down. My imagination?

Estimated hours for minor fiberglass work - are you serious?! by
Eric Rizzo
I just was at a large body shop yesterday to get an estimate to repair
the front tip of my C3. I scraped up about a softball-sized area right
on the point of the nose (a couple of pictures at
http://www.rizzoweb.com/photos/CorvetteDamage/)
I almost fell out of my chair when the estimator told me...

Replace all injectors by
Empty3
Hi All,
I had posted that my 90 Vette failed emissions (freaking Houston), and it
all points to one fuel injector.
The question is, should I go ahead a replace all injectors since the top of
the engine will be torn apart and
I'll get hit with $500 in labor (no matter what).
I'm thinking yes, but...
