94 Plymouth Acclaim - No spark by [email protected]
While driving down the road a fire truck with its lights was coming up behind us. I went to pull over and the car died and would not start again. We towed it home and I stuck a screwdriver in a plug wire and set it near the frame while someone turned it over. No spark. I also stuck it directly...

1993 Accord by Rich
Greetings, I'm trying to figure out if the AC compressor is bad on my Honda with 160,000 miles. Cooling was mediocre & there was foam in the sight glass. Clutch was spinning on the compressor. I had the car in to a Honda dealer in April for an oil change & they reported that the compressor...

Engine not "broke in" properly? by Ducaire
In the City, I drive a street sweeper. It's a 1999 cabover Ford Model truck, with a 190 hp diesel engine, (don't know what size truck), and the engine is weak as ****e!!! When you sweep, the engine spends most of the day idling, at speeds of no more than 5 mph. They say the engine is so weak...

Possible culprits behind intermittent headlight loss? by Doc
Have a '66 Fairlane wagon, the headlights will blank out after maybe 15 - 20 minutes on low beam. Turning the switch off for a few secs and then turning on will typically get them back on temporarily but they'll continue to go out. Further, hitting the hi beams is almost guaranteed to kill the...

Hurricane, gas in car, none in generator. What to do? by BoyntonStu
How the heck do you get the gas from a car these days? Can't siphon, too many restrictions. Is there a drain plug in the bottom of the gas tank? If so, how about a valve replacement? Or, a way to place a 'T' in the gas line and use the fuel pump to pump it out?

High mileage fluids. by J J
I see more and more oils, anti-freeze, fuel system cleaners, etc advertising that its for high mileage cars. Do cars with over 75,000 miles really have different chemical needs than newer cars? Or is it all the same stuff in a different package

Car batteries: Walmart any good? by [email protected]
My battery in my Mazda died the other day. Strange, I've never had a car battery die in the summer. Its always been the winter when low temps and load is present. Anyway..... I bought a replacement battery from Walmart cause it was an emergency (no time to shop around).
