That's very pretty but it would have looked even nicer if they'd painted the
area behind the grille in black or silver so the grille decoration didn't
look so much of an afterthought. Of course, in those days black wasn't
ubiquitous like it is today so maybe this did look better to the 196x...

I'm always surprised when I see one of these, especially the early 1800 cc
model. It really was an anachronism even the day it was announced but it
has a lot of charm. But only the British could have made such a thing.
Still, it had a proper top, wind up side windows, independent transverse...
