reclining back seat in 2012 unlimited by
Lynn McGuire[_2_]
Drove a new 2012 Wrangler unlimited with the 6 speed
manual. Love the new engine ! ! !
However, is there any way or mod to make the back
seat recline ? Otherwise it is very uncomfortable
for a long trip. Like to the grocery store.

Building A Woody Hard Top by
HarryS
I have been contemplating for some time now on building a woody top for the
TJ. When I was a kid my dad had a woody station wagon and I thought it was
so cool and that style has always stuck. I am an avid wood worker and have
built everything from grand father clocks to ship's wheels and have...

Fender Flares by
alex d
Hey all,
I'm looking to sell my jeep in the near future so I'm trying to fix some of
the minor issues.
I got rear ended awhile back, the only damage was to the passenger side
fender flare. Been to lazy and cheap to fix it, but now I'm looking for a
set of fenders. Has anyone heard of this site, it...

4 Cylinder Engines in CJ7 by
John Norman
I was wondering how good the 4 cylinder engines are in these jeeps. Is
it a good option for medium-core 4-wheeling on the cheap? I know the
I6's are great (I used to have a Cherokee), but will the I4 be a good
compromise with gas prices the way they are? Also how about the
longevity factor. How...

Announcing RAMJAW.org thread #2 by
ramjaw.org
The original thread was hijacked, surprise surprise. I can't tell
who's posting legitimate content, who's a sock puppet, who's cutting
and pasting, and frankly I don't care. It is just proof of the need
for RAMJAW.org.
There seemed to be some concern by the sock puppets about...

Button popped off of my parking brake handle...now it won't release by
Angie[_1_]
Ok, it's 10:30 here on the Pacific coast and I can't talk to either of
my local automotive mechanic friends or my motorhead brother on the
east coast due to the late hour. Hopefully there will be somebody on
the list who can help me make it through the night! After work tonight
I got into my '93...

Goodyear MTR's or Super Swamper SSR's? by
janette
My husband and I just purchased an '89 Jeep Wrangler and will be doing
some modifications. We want to be able to go to Rubicon and Moab-the
easier trails. We also spend a lot of time in the snow but the Jeep is
not a daily driver. Which tire will suit our needs better Goodyear MTR
or Super...

Optima Battery by
paul
I am in need of a new battery and am impressed (or is it hoodwinked?) by the
'spiral cell technology' of the Optima batteries, but upon going to their
website it is proclaimed that they do not have a battery that is the correct
'match' for a 93 YJ.
Ideas?
Suggestions?
Other favorite batteries?

Grit on oil drain plug by
[email protected]
Hello, I bought a 98 GC about a week ago , only 29K and looks like new
and runs great. I changed the oil today and noticed a 6 or 7 small (
fraction of a pinhead ) pieces of metallic grit on the drain plug.
Should I be concerned?
Thanks, JK

How to remove A/C lines at evaporator canister? by
John[_36_]
OK, so I'm pulling the heater box out to clean out all the junk.
I've got everything out except the A/C lines, just above the evaporator
canister, next to the heater core hoses. These had spring clips on them
which I removed. The hoses turn freely, but I can't pull them apart.
Any...

Pilot shaft bushing wearing fast and often!! by
Ervin Charles
Hey Group,
My 84 CJ7, 258, T5, Dana 300 is about to get it's 3rd pilot shaft bushing
in 15,000 miles. Seems like every 5000 miles or so, I start getting a weird
grinding sound as I'm down-shifting and slowing down. I yank the tranny and
the pilot shaft bushing is worn and allowing the input...

Vapor Canister for '90 YJ by
remove
I have been smelling gas fumes from my 90 YJ wrangler 4.2 L engine.
Since I don't see any visible leaks anywhere, I suspect maybe the
charcoal vapor canister may have died. The only problem is that
chryslerparts.com says their system shows that this part is no longer
available and no dealer...

01 XJ 4.0L Whistle by
Ed Bacon, Jr.
I have an `01 XJ 4.0L that whistles LOUD in the vicinity of the brake
booster. It only whistles when the weather is cold (about 32 F and below)
and begins after driving for about 5 minutes. The whistle goes away as the
throttle is opened, and gets louder as the throttle is closed. It does...

MTBE vs. Ethanol by
reconair
I just heard an interesting thing on Goss' Garage Radio Show this past
weekend. He stated that MTBE is an additive that helps to oxygenate fuel,
but it is a pollutant and as such has been banned in twenty-two states. In
those states (he didn't name them) the alternative to MTBE is used --...
