Jeffro G
I live close to Paducah, Ky. where we have about 18 inches of snow on
the ground and it is still coming down. This is the most snow that we
have ever had from one storm. I love my Jeep!

Is the 2005 X the same as the TJ? by
Tom
OK, before I get bashed, I don't own a Jeep; used to have an '89 CJ7, but
that was years ago. OK, the reason for my question. I purchased a set of
aftermarket Nerf side steps for my daughters '04 Wrangler X, but the bars
are way too long. The bracket, depending on which way you position the...

YJ Seat options by
Jp Davis
What make model vehicle seats would be a direct bolt-in for a YJ? I've heard
about mustang seats, but what other options have you guys heard of being
used? Personally I'd like to stick with Jeep parts, but if the price is
right, I'll use almost anything (almost - no milk crates for this cat).
I'm...

'01 Cherokee 60th Ann. wheel question by
bo jeffries
Is there any specific reason why the 2001 Cherokee 60th Anniversary
Edition came with 16 inch wheels? I was thinking about buying a nice
set of 15 inch wheels from a buddy who bought them for his Cherokee
Sport. The lug pattern appears to be the same as on my 60th anniversary
edition, but I...

ABS light by
Jeff Strickland
The ABS light means that the system is out of service. Typically this means
that a wheel sensor has stopped sensing the speed of that wheel. But, it
could mean that the solenoids in the valve body that routes the brake fluid
is sticking. If a wheel speed sensor is failing, the sensor costs a...

Hilift jack questions -- don't flame me, yes it's dangerous by
Eric
Santa just brought me a Hilift jack for an early Christmas present. If that
gives you the urge to tell me how dangerous they are and how many people
have died and how I should throw it away, please reference the subject of
the post. I am well aware of it's uses as well as what not to do. Those...

novice question on getting a stuck vehicle out by
Jeff Strickland
When you have a choice, it is always best to pull with your vehicle in a
forward gear. That is, pull in Drive instead of Reverse. The gears in the
diff are cut in a manner to make them stronger going forward than backward,
you need to leverage this design consideration instead of ignore it.
When...

Well, I have a few things here I could use some advice for... Over the
Christmas holiday, I went muddin at one of my favorite spots. Usually I
will ride around the trails with my windows down, since it's still warm down
here (Florida). When I got to the mud hole, I zipped my windows up, turned

2003 TJ Sport Shuddering Noise from Center Console by
Daniel Melameth
I am no where near a mechanic and by the time I got to the dealership (still
under warranty), it was warm enough that I could not reproduce the sound.
Only on cold days, somewhere around 32F and below, when applying gas
starting from a stand still, I hear some kind of rattling/shuddering...
