Land Rover Discovery bonnet release at 60 km/h by
[email protected]
Travelling at 60 km/h on the Glow Worm Tunnel Rd, Newnes State Forest
several weeks ago, the bonnet smacked into the windscreen without
warning. Luckily the road was straight and there were no on-coming
cars-I stopped the vehicle without further incident. Upon inspection,
two bolt/screws that hold...

No kidding. You're just now figuring this out?
Global warming is a myth created by politicians to
instill fear in the public, gain...

My New Jeep by
SkyKing49
I live in New England and just bought my first jeep. I plan on driving
it in the snow when most others would be staying home. I do not want
studs or chains on my tires. Will my new stock jeep perform well in
snow? I know that the driver is the most important thing but I bought
the Jeep so that...

Snow/ice traction by
[email protected]
Looking for a used vehicle. Will a jeep cherokkee 4x4 go as good on
ice/snow as say a full size 4x4 pickup with a v8?
I have a two wheel drive old truck and could not even get out of my
driveway. Had to have my dad pull me out with his 4x4.

Installed Powertrax No-Slip: IT DOESN'T WORK! by
Ron M.
Today I installed the Powertrax No-Slip in my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 2WD.
It's a regular open differential.
The installation, while sometimes challenging for a first-timer, went
perfectly. Everything was exactly "by the book." No problemo!!!
BUT...
Then came time for the final "test." It failed....

4x4 usefulness by
Alan Young
Always made me wonder why SUV 4x4's sold at all in suburban, urban and
most rural areas.
4-wheel-drive is not needed, generally unless one intends to go
off-road. And where can one go off-road in a suburban town? Perhaps in
the town park? Or maybe a neighborhood golf course? No, this type...

Antifreeze pouring out of 258 84 CJ7 by
pkaser
Here's the deal:
Just bought this Jeep from a guy and 10 miles after I bought the Jeep I
stop at a light and steam pours out from the hood. Upon inspection,
the steam is coming from the very back of the engine. All of the
heater hoses look good and the freeze plug is intact. I can drive...

Want new vehicle is true (real) 4 wheel drive (4WD)? by
Kdogg
I'm in the market for an SUV/Pickup truck. I'm curious on what new
vehicles are really 4WD? When I mean real 4WD, I mean a vehicle that
can send power equally to all 4 wheels, but also pass power to the
non-spinning wheel. Here's why I ask...
I use to own a 2000 Jeep Wrangler (4 cyl. base...

4x4 Buying Recommendations by
Loves2Backpack
I am selling my 98 Silverado 3/4 ton, and would like some feedback on
what vehicle would make a reliable commuting vehicle, but yet still be
able to hit the trails. I am frequently on the backroads of Colorado
and I was thinking about a Jeep. I prefer the CJ7, but perhaps there

4WD vs. AWD by
RobertS975
Looking at various Yukon XL/ Denali models. Is there an advantage to 4WD vs AWD
vehicles? My 97 GMC Suburban will go through deep snow if needed. Will a newer
AWD vehicle or a 4WD "when needed" vehicle perform as well? Advice needed!
