97 Jetta Ticking now Whacking by SBD
My daughter's 97 Jetta 2.0 with 110k miles was over heated pretty good a little under a year ago. At that point it started ticking. It sounds like just one thing, either the intake or exhaust valve/lifter/rod on just one cylinder. It has progressively worsened from a tick to a whack. So, is...

Is a VW roof rack system compatible with Yakima/Thule bike/luggage carriers? by [email protected]
Hi, Does anyone know if a VW base roof rack system would work with Yakima/ Thule bike and luggage carriers? I can get a used VW rack fairly cheap but don't want to buy it if I'm going to have to buy any attachments from VW only. Thanks, Kevin

'84 Rabbit by Ears
Hello! I picked up an '84 Rabbit L for a fun/project/daily driver and had a few questions: Where do I find a VW badge for the front grill? Why do the dashboard electronics (dash lights, odometer, clock, etc.) work intermittently and how big a project is it to get in there and fix those? Also,...

Charging problem by [email protected]
I have a 1980 rabbit convertable. I just changed the alternator but is still only charging at 12 volts. Does this car have a regulator? It doesn't seem to have a ground wire either. Is that a problem.
