'06 Isuzu SUV, 4wd, 2.7 V6 critique
I had to go to Dallas again last week. My choices at Budget were a Jeep Liberty
or an Isuzu SUV. I chose the Isuzu because it looked nicer and had more knobs.
It was really weird in that it was made for people with very short legs and really
long arms. I did...

'07 ford thunderbird-fuel injection by

when the ignition key is turned on the fan and fuel pump both start
running before trying to start. The car can't be started until both of
these parts quit running( about 15 minutes) then the car starts right
up. Any ideas on this problem? thanks

'08 Impala key and transmitter by
Nate Nagel[_2_]
Hi all,
picked up my "new" company car yesterday. First of all let me say that
for all the bashing of GM that has been done (and I've joined in, as I
feel that there are legitimate beefs with their products) this is a VAST
improvement over the '05 I turned in. Highlights:
- 3.5 engine is...

'08 Impala lighting question by
Nate Nagel[_2_]
Hi all,
is there any reason I should not do the "marker flash" mod as described
here to my car?
http://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/markerflash/markerflash.html
I'm a big believer in letting people know what I'm doing; would really
like to put in proper side repeaters as found on Euro...

Nate Nagel
Hi all,
I remember a month or so back someone posted here about a '55 Studebaker
and converting to 12V. the poster wanted to know if there was a battery
available that would fit in the stock battery box. Well guess what, I
am in the exact same situation now, I have a '55 coupe that...

control arms and trunions with threaded steel bushings on the outside) -
installed a new lower trunion on the pass. side, and all new rubber

'63 Impala charging problem by
Ron Lyons
Hi guys!
I thought I would try posting here to see if I could get any help on a
problem I've been having with my brother's 1963 impala. It's a nice old car
but the charging system has issues.
We've had problems for years getting this thing to charge right, and one of
the problems was the wiring...

Can anyone suggest a quality service shop in Memphis for rear end work
(diff, bearings, brake etc) on a 65 Chevy Nova V8?
Not cheap, quality.
Tried memphisclassicchevys.com to no avail.

'68 Galaxie starter relay wiring by
[email protected]
I don't trust the wiring at the starter relay on this '68 Galaxie. I
checked the volts at the battery today, with the car idling and got
about 11.5v on a fully charged battery.
The alternator (battery wire) is hooked up to the starter side of the
relay, which seems wrong. There is a cable attached...

'76 Pacer exhaust problems by
[email protected]
I have a '76 Pacer with a 242. My exhaust manifold is cracked and
warped. My mechaninc is having a tough time finding a new manifold.
One option may be replacing it with a header. Does anyone have any
thoughts on this? A make and manufacturer?

'78 Honda Civic - Stuck wheel, Mayonaise by
Alexis Ostapenko
Please help!
What to do? I cannot get off the rear wheel drum
on my trusty '78 Honda Civic (just 100,305 M on it)
to check the brake shoes. The nut is off, and I've
loosened the brake adjustment, but the drum does
not come off.(It can be rotated.) I've tried
prying with a screw driver between...

'78 Honda Civic -- temperamental direction signals
My '78 Honda Civic (1200) has developed temperamental direction

am at a loss how to cure it. Sometimes they work normally, but then
stop. Then resume.
Then stop again. Completely unpredictably. It seems that sometimes

Hi, All Responders:
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR REPLIES!
I've learned so much from you.
Herewith are the results.

'82 Chevy G10 "overheating" at sustained higher speeds by
Chris[_12_]
Seems to be getting worse, anything in excess of 40mph. There is no
obvious evidence of overheating, just that the temp gauge needle pegs,
and if you stop the car for a minute or two, it goes all the way down
to normal. Someone suggested I flush the system, but I also suspect it
could be tranny...

'82 Chevy G10 van RRRREEEEEVVVVVSSSSS upon starting by
Chris[_12_]
It happened about a week ago, then the other morning. The first time,
throwing it in gear, and it subsequently stalling, cured the problem
(when I restarted it). I had to do this 4 or 5 times the second time it
happened. Is this simply something sticking in the carburetor? Thanks.

'83 VW Rabbit CIS hard cold start by

In warm weather or whenever the engine is already warm - it starts right
away and runs excellent. In cold weather (below about 40 degrees F) it is
hard to start. After about 6 trys it will start. What is the most probably
cause - cold start valve, aux air regulator, thermo-time switch or...
