Oil-filter removal (2004 Jeep Liberty) by [email protected]
The last time I replaced the oil filter, I left the oil-filter cap on the fluted end of the filter. Now, the oil-filter cap just spins on the filter. I've gotten the cap off but the fluted "corners" of the filter have been rounded off so I don't think I can use a new cap. How can I unscrew the...

Crankshaft position sensor on 89 Wrangler by sozai
Hi, I have a 89 Jeep wrangler that will not start. In fact it has sat untouched for about 7 years before I became it's new owner. I towed it home and now I'm trying to bring it back to life. I've swapped out the usual things (plugs, distributor & cables). It cranks but will not start up. I'm...

We had to go up to the attic and drag the back seat out today and put it back in the Jeep. It's been out since I got it. My daughter has decided that Tennessee is where she wants to be and is moving back, with my little grandson Nick. he's three years old. I talked to him on the phone and he...

93 Cherokee Sport Window Broken by Icculus
After rolling my driver side window all the way down, I can't get it to go back up. It goes up very slightly then it seems as if the handle just keeps slipping and makes a grinding type of sound. How difficult is this to repair myself, keeping in mind that I do not have very many tools onhand nor...

YJ fuel pump by nrs
My 95 YJ takes more cranking to start than what seems normal. In a previous thread it was suggested to turn the key without cranking for a few seconds to allow the fuel pump to pressurize the system before cranking. When I try this I don't hear the pump working and no relay sounds. Is it...

93 YJ, automatic, I6, no A/C rough starts (lots of cranking before turning over), low RPM's at idle (500 - 600) Runs well, sometimes at stops it will 'lug' a bit, I attribute this to the low RPM's. Error codes shown: 12 - Direct battery input to PCM was disconnected within the last 50 Key-on...
