Here's the scenerio: I found a 73 super shell with a good title. All the windows are good, interior's decent but the floor pans are gone. The bottom most part behind the door opening is spread apart enough that the doors won't close or latch. I'm hoping to find the horizontal measurement directly...

A good read by [email protected][_1_]
http://www.vw-resource.com/cooling.html It's a typical Bob Hoover sermon, i.e. good stuff....but for whatever reason I had not found or read this one until tonight. Granted, I've known about the cooling ability(or limitations thereof) of the VW engine since about 1996 when I got my first bug and...

Weber Carb - enrichening circuit? by John Stafford[_3_]
I am having some serious backfire issues at RPM < 2,000. It sounds a bit like a carb I had once where the enrichening circuit stuck open. I'm wondering if one of the Webers has the same issue. True or false: Weber 40mm and 44mm carbs have an unused enrichening circuit (for choke) ? I'm...

3/8 whit threaded rod!. by John[_28_]
Useful stuff. Bent one double to make a U bolt to compress trailing arms when I did my ball joints and then eventually gathered enough courage to try and extract the bottom half of my broken fuel pump intermediate flange. Ground/cut/shaped one end away to form a "L" shaped lip so I could pass...
