97 TJ Wrangler running hot by
Dennis Cox
It is at or close to 100 degrees here in the Dallas area now. Yesterday I
drove about 250 miles round trip on the highway in the afternoon and the
temp gauge was about half way between 210 and 260. The jeep normally runs
at 210. <Insert Bill's comment about real jeeps and gauges> I have a...

Amazing prices.. :/ (rant) by
DougW
So I've got a bit of popping when taking off or going into
reverse. It's not drive train but rather the control arms
just need the bolts retorqued. Been there done that about
every three to four years depending on how hard I drive the
Jeep.
The only problem is it's difficult to put 130ft.lbs on...

Replacement carb for 23ci OHC Willys by
Willy Schneider
Having problems with the original (I think) Holley model 1920 2bbl
carburetor on my '62 Willys pickup. Mixture too rich and fouling the
plugs. Have adjusted towards lean as far as possible and even had a
mechanic look at and rebuild using the appropriate kit (I hope - the
kid was very young). ...

Horn replacing by
94JeepMan
Anyone replaced the horn(s) on a 94 Cherokee, mine sort of intermittent
warble when you use them, except in very hot weather when they are ok.
Also, thinking of splicing into loom, using blue thingies cable splices
to add after market £5 horn instead, anyone done this, know where you
splice etc

Glass by
Dave Milne
Some ******* broke into my TJ (which was deliberately unlocked), but being
too thick to realise this, broke the front passenger window. Autoglass tell
me that the list price is 900 bucks.... With their "special discount"
through being in the Automobile Association, it is only 663 bucks. If...

AX5 removal by
Carl Saiyed
I'm in the process of pulling my AX5/NP231 combo to change the clutch in my
89YJ. I've got everything disconnected, and now going for the bellhousing to
trans bolts. They appear to be 6 point 18mm bolts with 18mm nuts, and are
DAMN tight. Is this true? Should these be THIS tight? How do I get...

TJ front sway bar links by
Jeepweasel
Hey All-
It's been a long time since I've posted here. Mostly been lurking,
reading. I have a bad right front sway bar link and was wondering if
anyone has upgraded to discos and still has their stock ones hanging
around and would be willing to part with them.
Thanks
Brett

Curtis
I have a '99 Jeep TJ with 72,000 on it. I forded the creek on Imogene Trail
outside of Ouray, CO Thursday and the factory headers cracked. Should I try
JB Weld or ???. Any idea on the least expensive repair?
Thanks!

Bulletproof Bumpers and my sad tale of woe. by
Jeepers!
I ordered my bumpers back in March. A CJ front bumper and a rear bumper
and tire and jerry can carrier and two receiver hitch license plate
brackets. Was told they would be here in 10 days.
Two weeks later I got a front bumper.
Two weeks after that I called and asked where the rest was. He...

Track bar by
Will Honea
Had the dubious pleasure of swapping out the track bar in the MJ today
and remembered several messages bemoaning the cost of the whole part.
Stealer wanted $185 for it, calling around located a new one at
Advanced Auto for $58. Made by TRW, part # DS1147 for the 86 - 92 XJ
or MJ. Best price I had...

Ford axle ? for Bill, or anyone by
Greg
Is a ford 9" a ford 9" when it comes to axle seals, or are they different
for years and aplication, daughter's 9" in her YJ is out of, I beleive, a 63
Torino, axle seal is leaking quite bad, but as I'm not completely sure what
vehicle it is out of, I just wondered if they are all the same.

Some questions - '01 TJ by
TW
Hi All,
Just a few questions:
1) I have an OME lift on my TJ with riser motor mounts, I don't have any
driveline vibrations as such once I am moving at any speed. The only thing
is a slight wobble when I am starting off the mark in a hurry. If I start
off slowly, the wobble is not felt. It was...
