What is that thing on my ceiling? by
rwrede
Ok, I've had my '88 Jeep Cherokee Pioneer for 5 years now and I have always
been curious about this thing on the ceiling, just above where the
windshield meets the cab-ceiling in the center. There is nothing about it in
the manual, It is about 1" tall and 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 inches wide, it is...

That's why new cars for tha past twenty five years have a locked
steering wheel and transmission, anyone may start the engine by jumping
the solenoid.

Help removing flasher unit for directional. - 1990 Jeep Wrangler by
Go_Cart_Mozart_Ma
I'm having trouble removing the flasher unit for my directional signal
on my 1990 Jeep Wrangler (by flasher I mean the cylindrical shaped
switch mounted just above the fuse box) I assume it just pulls straight
up, but it doesn't seem to want to budge and I'm afraid of breaking it.
Does it just pull...

4.0 history by
Jeff DeWitt
I'm curious about the history of the 4.0 engine. I know it's based on
an engine AMC introduced in 1964 (and powered a bunch of Gremlins a
while later), but at some point AMC (or Nash) took a clean sheet of
paper and designed a new engine that eventually evolved into our
wonderful 4.0.
Does anyone...

Manual to power steering by
Ben
Can I just take out the manual steering box out of my 95 YJ and install a
power steering box? Is it a bolt on item or would I have to switch out the
steering shaft out also... I have done Google searches and can't find that
answer...
Thanks,
Ben

Thanks

On-Line TJ Parts-Where? by
Jimmy
Does anyone know of a good place to find TJ parts on-line.
I'm looking for the weather stripping that goes around the tailgate.
The dealer want $150.00 bucks!
Used is OK as well.
I've looked all over and can only find run of the mill stuff.
Thanks

XJ Brakes round 2 by
Carl Saiyed
Today I replaced the rear shoes, which were very worn. My drums were worn
beyond repair, and were grooved very badly. I also bought a new hardware kit
to go with the new shoes. Everything is all cleaned, re-assembled. Total
cost was about $130 with new drums. I have the high, firm pedal I...

The TJ design that was introduced in 1997 is well passed the 5-year design
cycle. Does anyone have any inkling of changes for the 2006 model?
Thanks,
