New tires. :) by
DougW
Well, I was thinking about getting some new rims, possibly
16" and putting P225 or P235 on them.. But while doing the standard
rotation it became apparent (large ass nail) that I'd have to take
them in and get a patch. That combined with some deep cracks in
the rubber and one little bit of cord...

1948 CJ frame fits...? by
Lee Ayrton
I've been poking around eBay and I found this:
<URL:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4562375098&category=42606&rd=1>
He's selling a 1948 CJ frame with running gear. Just for fun, does
anyone know if a MB body would bolt up to that frame? Yes, you'd end up
with a...

almost done by
Chip
The 76 CJ-7 is almost ready. The engine (AMC 360) is installed and running
well. I only have a few small things to fix/adjust. One particular thing
has been a real thorn. The original alternator on this has obviously been
changed because it was switched over to electronic ignition a while...

pictures of the finished product (almost) by
Chip
I have to ask myself if it will every really be finished. There will always
be something to fix, buy, adjust, or re-arrange. Anyway, it's on the road.
Sometime it will get new paint.
I want to arrange the plug wires. I have seen a few items to do it. Some
are adjustable that bolt on using 2 of...

Dist Cap, rotor and Wires by
Steve Foley
The three local stealerships do not stock wires for my 1987 Wrangler (4.2).
I'll agree to pay their prices for the convenience, but because they don't
stock them for me, I won't pay top dollar.
Rather than pay them to special order them, I'd rather order them on-line.
Anyone got a good source for...

Expensive engine noises update by
Jeff DeWitt
Went and visited my sick Jeep today and tried to figure out where the
noise was coming from. The stethoscope trick was a great idea, but
didn't really tell me much... the noise seemed to be a little louder at
the top of the engine but not by much, and where it's really noticeable
is underneath......

95 Cherokee Death Wobble? by
TF
My wife drives the Cherokee 95 Country and she twice now has said she hit a
bump and the whole thing shook violently. She said she had to stop at the
side of the highway (complete stop) and then she could proceed.
I drove it and it seems a little 'coarse' (not as smooth or sloppy over
bumps as I...

89 YJ fender replacement by
Carl Saiyed
My 89 YJ has got a dent in the driver's side fender, right behind the wheel.
The hood and door are undamaged. The dent came with the Jeep, the Jeep also
came with a new fender and flare. How hard is it to swap the fenders? What
engine components are mounted to the fender?
Thanks,
Carl

AMC 360 Oiling by
WKJ
When I get my block back from the shop, I'm thinking about making a
modification to it to assist in the engine oiling and oil pressure.
Granted, the condition of the bearings did not help the situation but, I do
not want to have a freshly rebuilt engine and no oil pressure. Before I
pulled the...

First time I've ever seen a sodapop can go vertical
just like the Apollo launches. Sheesh, what a mess.

Wrangler still shuts Down? by
Dean
I would like to thank DougW for all his help. The Camshaft sensor change
went well, the wrangler started right up. Took it around the block it
coughed and stuttered then shut down. This time it did start right back up
though. I have no idea what could be the problem now. I don't think its...

Interstate Trouble by
Dave Jost
Greetings.
I have a 92 YJ 4.0 with 31s on it. I bought it with 120K and have put
maybe 5K more on it. Yesterday I thought it would be a good idea to
take it down I-80 for a weekend visit to a town 3 hours away. Unlike
most Wyoming 1-80 days it wasn't TOO windy, but the Jeep was having a
hell of a...

2004 JGC to Silver Lake Dunes by
[email protected]
I recently traded in my 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo on a 2004 Jeep
Grand Cherokee Limited. I've taken my old Jeep up on Silver Lake
Sand Dunes in Michigan, and had everything figured out. Now I've got
to learn about my new Jeep. It is a High Output 4.7L V8, where my old
one was a V6. I need...

LT1 Wrangler Jeep/Project For Sale in Arizona by
blndspt
Guys,
I can't believe I"m doing this, but I"m actually trying to sell my
baby. I've had this thing for more than ten years, some of you know it
as the blind spot. The list of parts/mods and upgrades is a mile long.
Let's just say it has well over 40 grand into it not including time
and labor. ...
