radiator and heater problem by N.Zar
Hello to everyone Golg III '92 1.4 ltr 80K miles had a small radiator leak this past summer and I decided not to change the radiator, instead, the mechanic added a red powder as a sealer to the water reservoir. In the last 2 weeks I needed to use the heater in the car, but very little heat...

I saw two Boras here over the weekend. by Bert Hyman
Did these folks go to the trouble of importing a European-spec Jetta or did they just buy a Bora badge somewhere? Or, has VW changed the name of the Jetta in the US? -- Bert Hyman | St. Paul, MN |

My GTI is talking French now -- help! by [email protected]
My 2001 GTI VR6 now says, "Attacher Ceinture" sometimes when I start it. According to Babelfish, that's French for, "Fasten your seatbelt". I just had the ignition coil replaced, so I'm guessing that during the repair the language setting in the computer got altered to give my car a French...

Secondary injection error by [email protected]
I have a '97 Jetta GLX with the VR6 engine. My check engine light came on and I took it to my mechanic and he said it was a secondary injection error. He checked the fan, changed the relay and found that the fan wasn't getting a signal from the computer to turn the fan on, so he put in a used...

Fuel Filter direction, 90 Carat by IR
I installed a new main fuel filter in the same direction as the previous one, although it seems to contradict my Bentley. The Bentley wants the fuel going towards the fuel pump where the power and such connect to it. I've got mine going towards the front of the car. the car seems to run fine now....

'80 VW Rabbit relay plate by Chuck[_8_]
I have had some various funky issues occur with my headlights over many years. The most recent iteration led me to checking the relay plate under the dash. In low beam, one headlight would be on, the other off. High beams were ok. In the relay plate, according to the Bentley factory manual,...

Update A3 Clutch Woodchuck Dave et al by Peter Parker
I never opened up the TO bearing access. What I did was add 3 rubber washers below the clutch cable auto-adjuster. This confirmed that the actuation finger on top of the TO bearing must have shifted in the spline. I am now able to shift gears normally. Clutch never slipped so that gave me the idea...
