CNotM NOMINATION: WINNERS! Usenet Kook Awards, August 2007 by L.W. \(Bill\) Hughes III[_3370_]
There you go again, the little jealous coward. Who's only way to get attention is to make a fool of it's self, using foul language, like it did back in elementary school yard. But, too afraid to use it's name and address, and take on responsibility like a grown up. Totally worthless! Crawl back in...

Usenet Abuse: Someone at IP address 63.224.220.220 is impersonating me and posting nonsense by L.W. \(Bill\) Hughes III[_3121_]
Tell their Internet Protocol Service provider: http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/results.jsp?ip=63.224.220.220 They may tell you it was faked, but may help in the trace. This is forgery and can be easily prosecuted, as in an example of: Jeremy Jaynes convicted in first felony case to be...

'04 Grand Cherokee Lurch on Stop... by [email protected]
Hi all, I just bought an '04 JGC 4.0 to replace my '97 JGC 4.0. After I got home from the dealer, I started noticing that sometimes when I stop, as soon as I come to a full and complete stop, I get an extra little lurch / bump. It's somewhat similar to the "bump stop" described in TSB 030400, but...

DOH brakes! by DougW[_2_]
Well, knew it was time to work on the brakes and almost waited too long. Camera was at work, so let's go with ye olde time fambly style typovision. Removed rear drums, pads have about 2mm left on the worst shoe, adjustor on the left is frozen up with dust. Not a problem, easy fix, new spring...

85 to 89 Octane Update by Mindy[_2_]
to follow up my last post, I refilled my 2001 Grand with 89 octane gas rather than the cheapest gas of 85....there was a good differance in the mountain pass lanes, I had more power to keep up with the speed limit and even passed others on Interstate 70....maybe a bad tank of 85 but still I...

XJ Shock absorbers by [email protected][_1_]
Can somebody recommend what shocks I should buy for my 2001 Cherokee Sport? This car is driven by my wife, so I would like to have firm but smooth ride. I replaced the stock shocks in my 97 XJ with Gabriel Ultras and it rides real rough. Thanks Dave

M.O.R.E. SHACKLE QUESTION by duna6430
On my '84 Scrambler - I just installed front/rear MORE shackles - there's an extra bolt w/sleeve for each shackle set, which I first thought to be the hanger/bolt for the other side of each set of springs (and couldn't figure out what the sleeve was for). Then it came to me that the sleeve would...

Newsreader filter suggestion using regex (regular expression) by George[_16_]
In case anyone cares (I do) about the readability and usability of this NG, I have a suggestion. I am a long time lurker whose girlfriend has a TJ. But the bill/goat goat/bill posts are absurd and prevent me from showing her the very group that is relevant to her. I have a mac and use...

Usenet Abuse: Someone at IP address 63.224.220.220 is impersonating me and posting nonsense by Radium
I am sorry but I didn't post the message. It's the imposter doing that. Check the headers and you'll find it isn't me who is perpetrating this net-abuse. I use Google Groups to post on Usenet. GG has a limit to how much you can post within a certain time period -- no more than 5 posts in two hours....

Any ideas price 96 cherokee transmission incl transfer case? by mikr
Kind of hilarious story. Brake light was on, which probably meant the handbrake was still engaged, but I decided to ignore it and see if I could loosen it up by speeding up. Much noise and grinding, vibrations, then the whole thing exploded onto the freeway. Result, need to get a new transmission...

RIM SIZE FOR 2006 WRANGLER (con't) by Tracie
This is just an update from the previous post that I had going a couple of weeks ago. I got my new BFG Muds installed on 8/31/07 and they look AWESOME! The spare tire did fit under the third brake light, but there is only about 1/8 inch of room to spare. You will definitely not get a bigger tire...
