1997 Jetta Speedmotoer and Tachometer Repair by Boomer
I recently had problems with my Speedometer and Tachometer not working. The fule guage. temp gauge, odometer, and clock still worked. The tach would not move at all and the speedo "twitched". I read a lot of posts on various sites about fixing it. Many of the people suggested cleaning all of...

How can we get the Polo over here ?? by Willie78
Seriously, I'm sick of our VW's trying to be Toyotas and Cadillacs. There is a reason why VW made their most reliable and fun cars almost 20 years ago. VW seems to occupy the spot where Audi used to be, and Audi is now, well.............why bother. To me (opinion only) VW hasn't made a car...

89 Cabriolet by [email protected]
I am getting ready to change front struts on my 89 Cabriolet. Can anyone offer any advice to make the job goes smoothly. Should I just change inserts or do I need to replace the whole assembly? What other things should I replace while I am doing the job? Once the job is finished, is there...

Golf by [email protected]
I got my golf today and realised I got a few problems with it, wondering if any of you could help me out. First problem is both doors dont seem to close properly unless you give them a strong push, this is just a little annoying. Would a bit of WD40 solve this? Second problem is the car is a 3...

Hi everyone, I'd need a help on that one... I removed both of the rear axel bushings on my 97 Jetta... But it seems impossible to fit in the new ones: The are too tight to insert. Anyone know hoe to deal with that? Do I need to use a press to fit them in? Since I don't have one at home, any...

'01 Passat wagon, rear door dummy "lock cylinder housing" wants to fall out. by Chuck Tribolet
My GF has an '01 Passat wagon. On the driver's side rear door, what the service manual calls the "lock cylinder housing" wants to fall out. Except that she has keyless entry, so there's no lock cylinder in the rear doors, and so it's a dummy plug and there's no screw in the door jamb that would...

I am seeking new floormats for my 10yr old Accord. The Honda stock ones absorb and lock in dirt and are almost impossible to clean.
