[email protected][_1_]
what a great show today. There was alot of VWs there today, could have
been near 200. I haven't seen a turn out like this in many years.
Very nice weather. And yes another one of the VW's I did won.

My heart felt prayers and best wishes to all our friends over in

these Horrible events.

Question for Bob Hoover and the rest of the VW gurus by
Leopold Stotch[_2_]
I'm about to start rebuilding my 1200cc motor. I've done a lot of
research, read a few books (including the Bentley Bible),and watched a
few engine rebuilding videos. There seems to be some difference of
opinion concerning the rear main seal. Some advocate applying glue on
the outer edge of...

OT Web Design by
Bill Berckman
On the internet over the years, we have seen just about everything.
Remember when flash was new and impressive. People are hard to impress
today. Check out the site at this link. I was impressed by this guys
web work although not related to VWs. http://www.leoburnett.ca/

VW looking for opinions. by
Bill Berckman
VW lost $1.29 bilion in North America last year and for some reason
VW's chairman has a problem with that. There is some group of people
that will be traveling around (hopefully in a Toyota) looking for
peoples oponings about what people want in cars. (how about aircooled)
Article is here....

stainless steel brake lines by
[email protected][_1_]
I thought someone made stainless brake lines to replace all the metal
lines. Does anyone know a source for them?
I'm putting a sand rail together for a guy and would like to set it up
so he doesn't worry about rust while it sets at his beach house.
Thanks

Pasture finds by
Randy
Spotted a couple of bugs out in 2 different pastures this past week or
so.
Look to me a 74 and the other is a late 66, maybe 67. Pretty sad
shape from
what I can tell but I'll bet they are "show winners".
I'll have to track down the owners and find out the scoop, etc.

Why we do this...because our cars make peope happy. by
Mike C.
If you don't own a thirty year old plus automobile it's sort of hard
understanding how much a pain in the ass it is to keep it running,
especially if you're not a rich dude who can plunk down money to get an old
car restored like it ain't no thing. I bought my car ten years ago about and
put a new...

Mario by
Tricky
Could we (RAMVA) come up with a unified way of dealing with Mario. As
we do for water cooled stuff that isn't wanted here either !
Maybe Jan (King) might have some thoughts ?
anyone else?

Herbie !! by
Susan S.
Today was just too fun !! Although the weather almost didn't cooperate, we
had a fantastic turn out for the arrival of Herbie. Rough guess, about 50
VW's of all types lined up for a huge caravan into Pensacola complete with
police escort. It was a real treat for everyone to see Herbie and...

preheater troubles by
David Gravereaux
basically a stock motor with an EMPI 3417 exhaust. preheater tubes are
connected, but does little work keeping the manifold warm. Most likely
from the less backpressure pushes little exhaust gases though now.
Is there such a thing as an electric heater blanket I can wrap the
manifold in or maybe...
