Oil Info???? by
Paul Woodsford
Popped into my Alfa/Fiat dealer today to get a 5L can of Selena 20K oil for
topping up.
I didn't realise there was a Fiat version and an Alfa version of the Selena
20K oil.
Can anyone explain the difference, apart from cost that is????

Alfa GTV timing belt replacement. by
fastcarflattyre
Hi,
My 1997 GTV has now done 37,000 miles and I am looking to get the
timing belt replaced. Also, it seems to have a noisy variator (or
variator, not sure about the spelling) which was brought to my
knowledge by my nephew telling me it sounded like a diesel!
Anyway, I wonder if anyone could...

156 Front Armrest by
Mr Flipflops
Ok, so not having seen one of these from new, can anyone tell me if it's
supposed to slope forward slightly when it's down or if it's meant to be
completely horizontal. Mine slopes, thats why I'm wondering, cos somehow it
doesn't feel right.

Is it just me... by
Graeme Cosgrove
....bright sunny morning, tooling down the dual carriageway at a
respectable 70 mph. Very few cars on the road apart form a eurobox in
the inside lane (Pugeot/Citroen/Rover???) and a gold BMW 316 i
convertible in the outside lane overtaking said eurobox UNTIL he sees a
156 bearing down on him,...

Happy Days Over Already by
Mr Flipflops
Well, isn't it great, something gets fixed and then suddenly something else
crops up. Tonight I fired up the engine (2.5 V6 156), and it catches then
cuts out. I thought maybe I'd let the starter motor kick out too early.
So, try to start it again, and the engine is turning but not catching...

Italy again by
Phil Speight
I asked a while ago if anyone knew any good driving routes into Italy .I
failed to say that I aren`t setting off until the summer , consequently the
replies I got ( thanks , by the way ) all said " don`t do it - the roads are
closed ."
So - I`ll try again. Anyone know which route I should take (...

Diesel Cam Belt Failure by
Zathras
My garage is hinting that it might be a good idea (and I agree with
them) to change the belts at the 36,000 mile service instead of
waiting until the Alfa interval of 72,000 miles. I asked, and they
said that they've had plenty petrol cambelt failures before 72,000
miles but no diesel failures. Out...

2000 156 Selespeed - what's the matter? by
Chris
My 2000 156 Selespeed (sp1) has been behaving rather oddly in the last
few days on City mode.
- Keeps sticking in first with the Selespeed warning light flashing.
This has happened a few times when pulling away from stopped. Usually
first time I use it in the day, but it did it with...
