Death to ethanol! by
RichA
It is of no value. It has raised corn prices (and all the myriad
foods associated with it) by 100% over 1.5 years. It scours engine
components of their protective oil layer. It dries out seals. It
should be abolished.

Debut Of Next Mustang Cobra Delayed, Again? by
[email protected]
Again, per Hemmings:
- Speculation had a 400 hp, IRS-equipped Cobra debuting in '06 .
- Fact had it arriving in calander year '06 as an '07 model.
- But now the '07 model date is "in danger".
- Now it may debut in '08.
While I'd rather wait to make sure Ford gets it right (we don't want or
need...

Joe
I have a 1972 Ford Mustang, 351C, 4bbl, 4-speed manual. I need to
replace or reroute around the deceleration valve (a/k/a distributor
vacuum advance control valve). I can't find a replacement for it
anywhere. Does anyone know where to find a replacement or how to route
around the valve? It is...

Puke
Recently replaced my top on my 1994 GT convertible and added a defroster
rear glass in it. Hooked up ground cable as well as power cable in the rear
to the defroster, with no problem, found the wiring harness right away.
Went to install defroster switch and am now at a loss, no splice into the...

Depressurize Fuel System by
Jim C[_2_]
I am currently working on my third Fox Body, an 89 LX 5.0
Convertible. Just as a preventative, I wanted to change my fuel
filter and ran into a problem. On my earlier ones (92 and 93), you
could depressurize the fuel system by removing the fuse for the fuel
pump, and running the car till it quit...

Just picked up a new calendar for my office from Wally World. It's a
Mustang calender from Ford. It's pretty good, but IMO not perfect.
Here's the list of Mustangs featured:
'64 1/2 'vert
'68 GT fastback
'67 GTA fastback
'69 Boss 429
'66 'vert
'99 'vert

Desperate Ford ??? by

Ha,,, your argument is frivolous and stupid. The add shows a guy who wants
to open up his car on the German highways, not blowing away anyone,,,,,just
enjoying his car for what it is. You yourself say that its as good as a car
can be for $28K,,,, well some of us dont care to spend $200K for a...

Detroit is still in the fight! by
[email protected]
Thought this was a pretty interesting article.
The headline in this newspaper - Toyota and GM lead in quality survey -
said it all. At a time when General Motors Corp. is taking one body
blow after another, it was interesting to see that at least the
company's efforts to produce high quality...

Detroit's Latest Report Card by

Some interesting reading...

Who says it's lonely at the top? For the last twelve years, Toyota's
high-line Lexus division has made much of its routine dominance in the
off-quoted J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Index. But this year, the
high-line import brand has to settle for a tie in the...

Diagnostic device by

I recently bought a 40k mile 1995 v6. It has since come to my
attention that I can't service my car locally (I'm in South Africa and
Ford SA doesn't acknowledge the existence of Ford USA - they're part of
the British Ford group). Can anyone recommend a diagnostic device that
I can purchase to...

Diagram of ford 4.6 coolant passages by
Brent P[_1_]
Does anyone know of a diagram showing the cooling passages in a 4.6L V8,
specifically the driver's side of the '97 mustang GT version where the
head and intake manifold meet?
I think I found the cause of the misfire on my '97 GT... cylinders 6,7,8
if I have the numbers right (driver's side)...

Did A/C in 1973 Mustangs work well? by
VM
Some people have told me that the A/C in the first-generation Mustangs were
cold but could't be compared to the more modern cars. Others have told me
that the A/C was freezing cold. Since I live on a tropical island, the A/C
is very important.
So was the AC good in 1973?
Thanks.
