Clicking sound after starting.... by MicrosoftBob
I have a '94 Mustang V6 and all of a sudden I start it up one day and there is this loud clicking which sounds like it is coming from the center of the engine. After 3 minutes of idling, the clicking got softer and then stopped. I drove it and it ran fine. Next day, same thing. I changed the...

Clock compatibility - 71 Mustang? by ..
The clock in my 71 Grande has died. I've got my eye on, but can't check closely, a NOS clock for full-size '71 Fords. Does anyone know if the internals are compatible between the two?

Clock resetting... by BradandBrooks
Anyone know why my clock would reset on my 93GT? I know it's a nothing problem, but could be indicative of somthing bigger about to happen. It always starts, and the radio presets stay, but something is happening. Battery connections seem tight. Thanks guys. Brad

Clockspring by scott and barb
Just replaced a 1990 LX clockspring.Part has been superceded to F2CZ14A664-B. Dont quote me on #.Part has been redesigned and no longer uses the little spring and pin arrangement with the 3 separate tracks.Be aware it calls for a new bearing retainer plate so wires to the new mechanism...

Clogged Injector(s) by Dave Combs
My '90 LX 5.0 has developed a miss which has been determined by my mechanic to being clogged injector(s) He wants to pull the intake manifold to run some tests to determine which one(s) it is. Since I plan to keep the car forever it seems to make more sense just to replace them all even if it...

Closest match to Grabber Orange by [email protected]
I'm in the process of restoring a 70 Mach 1 and want to spray it Grabber Orange. Does anyone know of a modern paint code that is a close match? What are your opinion on metallic paint on vintage Mustangs?

Cloudy instrument cluster lens by Brad and Mia
Just an FYI, I took mine off my 93 today (looked like someone took sandpaper to it) and used Maguires #9 polisher and an orbital polisher on it. HOLY WOW! Like new. Amazing! Friggin amazing. And to think I was going to buy a new one. And the best part was that after taking the whole damn...

clunk by rw
When I come to stop in my '66 Mustang 289 automatic I get a "clunk" somewhere in the rear end, just before I stop. What's the deal? Is it play in a worn U joint? -- Cut "to the chase" for my email address.

Well, yesterday wasn't that great of a day. No sales... clutch cable SNAPPED while driving on a busy road.. and then when I finally got it home, I locked my keys in my car. Clutch Fork release rattle by Jérémie Bédard
I own a Crown Victoria 5.8l (351W). I installed a T5 tranny from '95 Mustang 5.0l. I should be the 1st 5-speed Crown Vic in Canada lol I actually have a 50oz flywheel (the one from the 302), while my 351 needs a 28oz flywheel. So, there is a vibration at high RPM. I will receive a new flywheel...

Clutch issue by goodnigh
Will be installing a CenterForce II in my '71 M-code. CenterForce says to always resurface the flywheel. Some people tell me to never resurface the flywheel as it makes it thinner and more prone to warp. Or should it just be replaced? The clutch, bearing and disc cost just under $330 :)

Clutch life stock vs. FRPP by Brent P[_1_]
Does anyone know if there is any designed in difference to clutch life between the stock 4.6L 10.5" clutch and the FRPP king cobra / HD clutch ? Looking around online the stock OEM clutch disk and pressure plate is a lot more than even the king cobra clutch kit at LIST. And the king cobra and...

Clutch Pedal Problem on 1972 by Joe
I have a 1972 Mustang with a 4-Speed Toploader. The clutch pedal does not return by itself all of the way. After I depress it to the floor and then remove my foot, the pedal only returns about 3/4 of the way back. I have to put my foot under the pedal and pull it back up and then it "pops" back...

Clutch Question by Jim Custer
I have a 1989 5.0 LX convertible, with the T5OD manual transmission. I'm beginning to wonder about the clutch. There have been a few instances recently where I have felt a surge, or what may be clutch slippage. Each time, however, has been in the rain. I had replaced a starter last winter, and...

Clutch question by XS11E
I'm thinking of getting a Mustang with a 5 speed, I've been looking at 1985-1993 convertibles because they're much more in my price range than the later ones. I'd like a 5 speed but I drove one and the clutch seems very stiff for my arthritic knee. Is there some way to make the clutch lighter? ...
