Hurc's edjukatshun. by Armon Tanzerian
I find it comical that "Hurc" has to try to pick on so many people's credentials just to make himself feel more like a big boy. What's even more funny is that you can't find a single post of his that isn't riddled with simple spelling errors! What's a matter? fail the 5th grade Hurc...

**** Troll Control **** by [email protected]
It's obvious the problem is systemic, and the open nature of the group also exposes the group to the behaviour we are observing. This used to be (and can be again) an extremely enjoyable forum with a wonderful, free-wheeling spirit. I must admit that my reaction to the appearance of these...

Help: do stock 2005 V6 wheels fit on a 2002 V6? by tboy
My friend just bought a new 2005 Mustang V6 Coupe and is trading the stock wheels towards custom 18". I told him I would offer him more if the stock 2005 wheels fit my 2002 Mustang V6 Coupe. Does anyone know if the stock wheels are interchangeable between the two? The stock tire sizes appear to...

Water Pump Rebuild Kit for 289 by Fred of AZ
Hi: I've got a 65 2+2 with the aluminum water pump. I've searched around, but have been unable to find a rebuild kit for this particular pump, or instructions on how to take it apart and replace the seals, etc. I have already replaced with a rebuilt pump since it was leaking, but was not asked...

68 coupe suspension questions by Thomas Cameron
All - My 68 coupe drives like a boat - a really sloppy, "floating" feeling and it plows badly when I go around corners. It looks like the original suspension is under the body, including the original bushings. I'm looking around and there are about a million options for me. Since I just dropped...

Dirty Canadian liberals ass-raping car owners by RichA
As of January, cars purchased that are older than 20 years must be appraised by a government approved appraiser and the tax charged on the car will be proportional to the appraised value, not the actual sale price. I guess they figured their government surplus isn't high enough?

I am planning on putting a 351W in my 88LX, but it currently has the 2.3L EFI w/ T5. I know I will need an oil pan w/ pickup tube, headers (BBK), motor mounts, dampener, tranny (AOD), flexplate, etc. I do have a bunch of questions that I know you guys will be able to answer. I was wondering if I...

steering noise by Fred
Hi I have a problem with the power steering on a 89 LX 5.0. You can feel a clunk while turning the wheel left ot right. I had it to the dealer but all they did was give me a brake job and tighten the wheel bearings. The problem remains.

Creaking clutch quadrant by [email protected]
Ok, I don't think it's the quadrant itself.. but when I press on the clutch pedal... if I don't STOMP on it, it makes a "creaking" sound & is fairly difficult to depress. Last time this happened my clutch cable snapped. I checked for fraying... none. Car is a 1998 Ford Mustang GT Steeda adjustable...

How do I set the dwell on a '68 289 2bbl? by Thomas Cameron
I am reading the Haynes guide and it basically says "set the dwell at between 24 and 29 degrees" but doesn't explain how. I bought a dwell meter and a timing light at Pep Boys and the guys there couldn't explain it either. I will gladly RTFM, but I can't find TFM that explains how to do...

85 Mustang GT batteries keep blowing?? by mvasil
85 Mustang GT has been through more batteries than I can count. Can’t figure out what the problem is. After driving for several miles, you can smell the battery acid, and have had at least 2 ’explode’ (luckily no one was hurt except a little acid in my face once). Checked grounding, etc - still...
