Rear axle volume... by
Boris
I just changed the 80w90 Gear oil in the rear axle on my 88` Wrangler. I
think it is a 35C...there is a little metal tag on one of the Axle bolts I
can only make out the C....anyway according to the Clinton guide the rear
axle should only take 2.5 pints of 80w90....My rear axle only has one...

New Shocks when? by
Boris
Have a `88 YJ with a 5" lift with 35" tires, it has Rancho shocks (6000 or
9000 don`t remember) and I have 35psi in the tires. When I bought the YJ the
previous owner had only the right sway bar connected, I replaced the left
side and the YJ handles much better in turns and recovers faster going...

Oil-filter removal (2004 Jeep Liberty) by
[email protected]
The last time I replaced the oil filter, I left the oil-filter cap on
the fluted end of the filter. Now, the oil-filter cap just spins on the
filter. I've gotten the cap off but the fluted "corners" of the filter
have been rounded off so I don't think I can use a new cap. How can I
unscrew the...

Crankshaft position sensor on 89 Wrangler by
sozai
Hi,
I have a 89 Jeep wrangler that will not start. In fact it has sat
untouched for about 7 years before I became it's new owner. I towed it
home and now I'm trying to bring it back to life. I've swapped out the
usual things (plugs, distributor & cables). It cranks but will not
start up.
I'm...

Had to put the back seat in today... by
Kate[_3_]
We had to go up to the attic and drag the back seat out today and put it
back in the Jeep.
It's been out since I got it.
My daughter has decided that Tennessee is where she wants to be and is
moving back, with my little grandson Nick. he's three years old.
I talked to him on the phone and he...

Battery situation by
billy ray
I attempted to go out in the Jeep to my dad's birthday dinner the other
night but when I tried to start it I got nary a groan... just click, click
from this 4 year old battery.
I was able to get a ride and after the all important cake and ice cream I
took a look at the beast about 8 PM.
The...

wasn't that bad, I noticed this morning that I have an oil leak under the

93 Cherokee Sport Window Broken by
Icculus
After rolling my driver side window all the way down, I can't get it to
go back up. It goes up very slightly then it seems as if the handle
just keeps slipping and makes a grinding type of sound. How difficult
is this to repair myself, keeping in mind that I do not have very many
tools onhand nor...

YJ fuel pump by
nrs
My 95 YJ takes more cranking to start than what seems normal. In a
previous thread it was suggested to turn the key without cranking for a
few seconds to allow the fuel pump to pressurize the system before
cranking. When I try this I don't hear the pump working and no relay
sounds. Is it...

YJ error code - rough start by
paul
93 YJ, automatic, I6, no A/C
rough starts (lots of cranking before turning over), low RPM's at idle
(500 - 600)
Runs well, sometimes at stops it will 'lug' a bit, I attribute this to the
low RPM's.
Error codes shown:
12 - Direct battery input to PCM was disconnected within the last 50 Key-on...
