Strange? Question... by
[email protected]
OK, it's just a question.
Has anyone tried waxing their windshield?
The reason I ask is because I remember hearing somewhere that this may
help with the pitting. My windshield looks like it's been sandblasted
(escpecially driving in to the sun) and I figure I'll try almost
anything before I buy...

POLL: Bill Hughes = Private Pyle From Full Metal Jacket? by
Cassandra Incognito
I just realized where I thought I'd seen Bill's type before. I think
the character played by Vincent D'Onofrio in "Full Metal Jacket" is the
absolute epitome of Bill Hughes.
Of course, I could be wrong. All in favor, say "AYE!" All opposed, say
"NAY!"

Diesel Liberty by
Mark Perrin
Any experience with the diesel version? What's the mileage really like?
The consumer reports say not enough data. It's been around for a while
in Europe though so I'm also wondering what the life expectancy is.
Thanks!
Mark

Which is why you never won one. Crosswords usually have words longer than
4 letters.

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant juxtapositioning of reference
material; a truly beautiful presentation of the facts.
I humbly tip my hat to you and all the time and effort that that
entailed.
Astounding accuracy of description, blended nicely with the
patient's own material which called it all...

Oil-filter removal (2004 Jeep Liberty) by
[email protected]
The last time I replaced the oil filter, I left the oil-filter cap on
the fluted end of the filter. Now, the oil-filter cap just spins on the
filter. I've gotten the cap off but the fluted "corners" of the filter
have been rounded off so I don't think I can use a new cap. How can I
unscrew the...

RIM SIZE FOR 2006 WRANGLER X by
Tracie
Hello. I have a 2006 Wrangler X with the 6-speed manual tranny and
Dana 30 in the front and 35 in the rear with the 3.07 gearing. I will
be putting a 3.5 inch Rubicon Express lift on it with 33 X 12.5
tires. Here is the question that I am not sure of:
My stock rims are 15 X 7. I know I need a...

Floor Jack Recommendation? by
aetmos
Hi All,
I'm looking for a new floor jack to use primarily with my wife's '04
Jeep Grand Cherokee. I had a Craftsman SUV jack until it spewed oil
and collapsed the other day. I need to carry it fairly frequently, so
I need something fairly light, but also tall enough to lift a Jeep in
the air. Any...

This is VERY cool. If you have not been, you ought to go. If they were

Oops by
Matt Macchiarolo
I made a big boo-boo.
Last night the wifey and I were talking Jeeps, and I mentioned in passing
that the 07 Wrangler would be a redesign, with a 4-door version, with
seating for five. She seemed mildly interested.
So today I showed her the pics of it in the latest Four Wheeler; she loved
it. Now...

would painting the wrangler camouflage be street legal? by
Jerry Bransford[_2_]
Good point Jeff. I used to fly the occasional SAR mission (always
just
practice, never actually got called to fly a real SAR mission) and I
discovered that it's hard enough to find a normally painted vehicle
that
is sitting in open terrain, let alone one that was painted with a
camouflage...

Why does this have Willys in the title? by

Willys hasn't made Jeeps for over 40 years! In fact Willys went out of
business over 40 years ago?
Kaiser made Jeeps until 1971 and then American Motors Corp. made them until
1987 and then Chrysler made them until 1999 and now DaimlerChrysler which is
a German company owns Jeep Corporation as a...

novice question on getting a stuck vehicle out by
Jeff Strickland
When you have a choice, it is always best to pull with your vehicle in a
forward gear. That is, pull in Drive instead of Reverse. The gears in the
diff are cut in a manner to make them stronger going forward than backward,
you need to leverage this design consideration instead of ignore it.
When...
