1962 Willys heater control by
F. J. Townsend, III
Does anyone know how the heat control plunger is supposed to work
in a '62 Willys wagon?
The cable moves through a bracket on the engine side of the
firewall but isn't attached to anything. The other two controls
are (1) heat/defrost and (2) fan speed/fresh air flapper valve
and work...

1970 Gladiator repair panels by
Lee Ayrton[_4_]
The listings that I've found for FS Jeep pickup repair panels (front
fenders, fender wells, floor) end at 1974. Was there a significant
design change in `74? Or will those parts fit earlier models with minor
revision?

1970 Jeep Commando by
Bruce Grant
A co-worker of mine had to clean up his storage area recently, and had to
get rid of this. The body is in 1/2 way decent condition. It has
Buick's 225-V6 in it. The transmission, transfer case, and driveshafts
are missing (no clue as to they're where-abouts). I have no interest in
trying to put...

1975 Cherokee 360; oil jetting out of filter by
Kirby
Just inserted a rebuilt 360 into my 75 Jeep Cherokee. Started up
great; except oil jets out of the top of the oil filter at the rate of
about a pint a second. My suspicion is that the oil pressure relief
valve is not opening. What accentuates my suspicion is that the
previous build did not have...

1978 CJ-5 Manual Steering Box Adjustment by
Jo Baggs[_3_]
My friend's CJ-5 has some pretty sloppy steering. I installed a new
borgeson steering shaft for him and that helped, but it didn't eliminate
slop. There's still a good 2" of play at the steering wheel before the
wheels move. Tie Rods, Ball joints, etc are all good. So I tried the
steering...

1978 J10 Truck Info by
Russell Williams
Hello,
A friend has a 1978 J10 pickup with driver's side window off track or busted
loose - not sure exactly yet. I'm looking for any diagrams or photos of the
guts of this door before we go in to assess the repair, so we can
reconstruct things. Or point me to a good data and/or parts...

1980 CJ V-8 Engine shuts off by
James[_3_]
While riding down the mountain this morning, this Jeep shut off two times.
It cranked right back up. When I got to the bottom of the mountain, but
still rolling downhill, it shut off a third time. I came to a complete
stop , and it took several minutes for it to crank back up. I let it run...

1980 CJ5 Compression #'s? by
griffin
Hey all,
Haven't posted on here in ages since the death of my '86 CJ7's engine. I'm
looking into an '80 CJ5 today with the 4.2L I6 engine. It's been rolled on
the highway and has some hood/windshield damage. Haven't looked at it yet
but the engine is said to run fine and the frame would pass...

1980 CJ5 Running gear troubles. by
Frenchy
I have a 1980 CJ5, 4 speed, Dana 30 in the front, AMC 20 in the rear. I
think the Jeep had a 6 cylinder in it to begin with but now has a 304.
This is the problem... When you pour the coal to the Jeep it makes a
treibble sound coming from the back end of the Jeep. Sounds like a
chain drive...

1980 Jeep CJ-5 / Electrical questions by
James[_3_]
I have a 1980 Jeep CJ-5. I recently learned that my cigarette
lighter is not working. It is not getting voltage.
In the same week, I found that my interior lights (underneath the dash) do
not work. I replaced the bulbs, just to make sure. These are the lights
that turn on when you...
