Decent but inexpensive stainless bolt-on replacement exhaust system? by Heath Roberts
The exhaust system on my CJ-7 (straight six, 5-speed) is pretty much completely rusted through, and needs to be replaced. Basically I need everything from the exhaust manifold back. I'd like to find a pre-bent, bolt-on system--does anyone have any recommendations? I'd prefer stainless. Not really...

Jeep Wrangler TJ Cluster problem, please help. by [email protected]
I have a 1997 Jeep Wrangler 2.5 - 5 speed 70,000 miles. I bought my Jeep 2 weeks ago, and the battery went dead. I cleaned the wires and clamps and re-posted to the battery terminal, and she cranked right up. BUT, most parts in the cluster weren't working. The only thing that worked in the...

Gas tank plug by nrs
My '95 YJ has a hole in the plastic gas tank. (I have a new gas tank and Kilby skid plate on order but need to get this thing going right away for wheeling on Sunday.) The current state is: gas tank dry, hole drilled and tapped, a bolt can be threaded in and tightened a bit. I'm going to use Gas...

Well finally it's gotten back to normal in r.a.m.j+w by Didier
Now that that loud mouth jerk off Bill has disappeared. Any other -ex- Jeepers in here? Several years back I traded in my 93 Cherokee for a Subaru and never looked back. Best deal I ever made. Of course, if McCain wins the presidency, I may have to move to Canada once and for all, but hopefully...

Hey Fellow RAMJ+W ers When corresponding with the clowns that are hell bent on disrupting this forum. Please remove the other forums from the response. It's kinda like taking a poop in our group and it attracts flies. :-) Plus cross posting is against our charter. Can someone (Mike) please post our...

Answering my own question - XJ Rear Discs by 98XJ
A month or two ago, I asked whether stock XJ wheels would still fit if Liberty Rear Discs were mounted onto my '98 XJ. On Saturday AM, I pulled the rear brake parts from a crashed '07 Liberty. They essentially were a direct bolt-on, and the stock wheels are fine - no interference with the...

broken rear driveshaft by Mark Corbelli[_2_]
My '88 jeep Grand Wagon was making an unusual shudder this morning. On my way home for lunch, it started making sounds like it was coming apart and then it wouldn't accelerate. I was able to pull it off into a grassy field. I looked under it and the rear drive shaft is no longer connected at the...

Pinion bearing noise on '91 Cherokee Sport by JD Adams[_3_]
I'm trying to discern the difference between a pinion bearing whine and a driveshaft bearing whine on the rear axle of my wife's '91 Cherokee. The whine comes/goes with different throttle application, worse at 20-45 mph, almost disappears at 50+. Does not change with direction of travel....

Front Driveshaft by aetmos
Hi All, I've had a "bump-stop" problem with my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee for some time. Awhile back, I greased the rear driveshaft slip yoke splines, which seemed to help, but the problem still comes and goes. I'm thinking of greasing the front driveshaft, but I have some questions... The Haynes...

Selectable lockers by nrs
I´m considering getting a selectable locker for my rear D44 (in a 2.5 L YJ), not interested in an automatic locker, I've seen too many Jeeps slide sideways on otherwise easy sections of trail. The three I´ve been looking at are ARB, OX and Eaton E-locker. Any comments are appreciated. Thanks

OK - I'm needing to replace the head gasket on the 258 in my 83 CJ7 Jeep.but am having a heck of a time finding new (replacement) head bolts 'cause they need to be 7/16's rather than the more readily available 1/2's. So .... anyone got a reasonably priced source they'll share with me? OR - since...
