95 YJ - Need Gas Tank by lost-n-confused
I have fuel leaking on the side of my gas tank. Closer inspection leads me to believe the tank has been repaired in the past (I'm not the original owner). I have found several websites that have plastic & steel tanks for Jeeps up thru and incl. 1990 but nothing for my 1995 YJ. 1) Was the OEM...

'86 CJ7 Shaking after ignition is turned off by Jerry Bransford[_2_]
"Dieseling" as yours sounds like it is doing is often caused by a build-up of carbon inside the combustion chambers. The carbon continues to glow after the last combustion stroke which propels the engine in another rotation again, which with a mechanical fuel pump keeps the fuel going. Then...

What's the tire pressure in all of your tires? Do you have any suspension mods or a locker in your rear axle? tales wrote: > I have a 94 Jeep Wrangler. Recently, I've noticed that when I turn, it > feels like my back end is sliding out--even when I'm cornering at slow > speeds on dry roads. >

Power Steering High Pressure Hose Replacement: 16mm Nuts? by Mike Romain
Don't know the size, but when I am 'replacing' a hose or pipe like that I just cut the sucker off and use a deep socket instead of the wrench. Works much better. Mike 86/00 CJ7 Laredo, 33x9.5 BFG Muds, 'glass nose to tail in '00 88 Cherokee 235 BFG AT's - Gone to the rust pile... Canadian Off...

GC5.2 ZJ: Slow acceleration from tranny or differential?? by jimboe via CarKB.com
Hi all, Two things I want to ask about, and forgive my ignorance in accurately describing the following issues. First, my 93 5.2 GC (220K) doesn't have the "snap" it should, 90% of the time, throughout the speedometer range. Off the line it's decent, but the accelerator pedal doesn't really seem...

Jeep mechanic needed by archtopshop
It seems the exhaust on my 96 ZJ, I-6 is leaking somewhere in the manifold area. I can't see a crack in the manifold, but that doesn;t mean it's not there. My eyesight isn't as good as it used to be. Maybe it's the gasket. Anyway, I need to bring it in to have it looked at. Can anyone recommend...

So I just put my TJ back on the road 6 months ago. It had been sitting in my back driveway for 2+ years. there are a few things going on with it that i need opinions on. #1) it has no power (i know it's a 2.5l, but my YJ 2.5l had way more power) #2) mileage sux, getting about 16mpg highway (i know...

Looking for early Warn winch solenoids by [email protected]
Almost done rebuilding my newly acquired Warn 8274. Just need a couple of solenoids - and Warn doesn't supply them any more - just as part of the full control pack (at approx $250 ...yikes!) I understand that typical "starter solenoids" like on my 83 CJ7 are NOT designed to handle the current...

Hi All, I'm new to this group and to Jeep products. My significant other purchased a 2006 Liberty Limited, CRD, 4x4 used with 25k miles. I realize from reading this group that some of you don't like diesels and I'd like to take this opportunity to let you know that I really don't care. I...
