Orange Line Busway - Another SNAFU in the Making by
Scott en Aztlán
Two accidents in one day involving the new San Fernando Valley
pseudo-light-rail bus-trains has the authorities freaking out and
assigning meter maids to act as crossing guards. Just like the olden
days when railroads crossed streets at grade and automated signals had
not yet been invented, they...

Speed limits are not personalized by
MidnightDad
Speed limits are tuned for the _average_ driver in the _average_ vehicle.
Just because you think YOU have the catlike reflexes and the ultimate
driving machine to handle speeds well above the posted limit, that doesn't
mean you are issued an exemption. There's only one speed limit posted.

Speeders & Drunk Drivers are MURDERERS[_1_]
I'm driving a 20 year old beater myself and i see on tv all these 5-10 year
olds getting crushed!!
Where's the logic in that?. We should encourage people to use items as long
as they can.

Cops Making Up Stuff Again by
Dave Head
Heard a very telling interview on WTOP out of DC.
DC had made the top 10 road rage cities. So, the WTOP reporter decided
to call the police of the very best place to drive, Minneapolis, which
gas the least road rage. The reporter also called the Maryland state
police (I believe it was, or it...

There I was, Driving in the Right Lane... by
Dave Head
yesterday morning, about 5:00 AM on rt. 5 SE of DC. Everyone else seems to be
wanting to do 70 mph in the rain and the dark, the SL is 55, and I'm doing my
usual +7 of the SL. In the right lane - I had a right turn coming up in about
5 miles anyway... so what happens?
A straight truck, with a...

Is This The Magic Battery? by
Dave Head
http://www.caradvice.com.au/89483/audi-a2-electric-vehicle-sets-600km-single-charge-record/
Maybe, if it doesn't cost a million dollars. These guys have run a
car for about 400 miles on a single battery charge at around 70 - 80
mph. That's awesome if true. It could be America's way out of...

Fiat Punto bicycle carrier by
NullBock
Hey,
I've got a '96 Fiat Punto Hatchback (3 door), and want to fit it with a
bicycle carrier. Anyone know of a good universal carrier? I'd prefer
a rear-carrier over a roof carrier, but I'm not sure if that's
possible. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Kamala Harris Literally the Whore of Babylon? by
Lickspittle Trump Propagandist Sean Hannity
It occurred to me when it was announced that Kamala Harris was
Biden's VP pick that she engaged in at least one extramarital
affair. Now she's got a very real chance at eventually becoming
POTUS. Could it be that the image of the beast and the harlot is
a little more literal than most...

A modest fuel saving proposal: no more than 3000 RPM by
Daniel W. Rouse Jr.
Some have already posted about bringing back the 55mph speed limit, but
obviously, that's not very practical nowadays with today's modern vehicles.
My proposal--though I admit that my only data point at the present time is
the fuel efficiency of my own vehicle--is not to exceed 3000 RPM in...
