~318 plug switch~~? by
Jack Carter
can't tell how to change plugs on my oil burning '95 G.C. (41 thou miles,
oil changes every 3'000 miles) bcause the plugs are inside heat shields,
and the plug wrench does't fit inside. Anyone ever change plugs on them
thangs. (I shoulda ordered the old Nash/Amc engine instead of the l960's...

{{ OT }} Computerj (PC) Troubles with PCI Buss by
Jeff Strickland
I have a PC that was running okay, but developed a problem where the mouse
locks up -- stops moving -- and the entire rest of the computer freezes at
the same time. In the grand scheme of chicken-and-egg, I don't know that the
computer freezes and the mouse stops moving, or the mouse stops and...

holding it longer in my area, I would go again.

Way cool!
I'm sure at least one of them drove a Toyota, or a Jeep ...

{OT} -- Computer Problem by
Jeff Strickland
I (my brother in law, really) have a computer that has a SERIOUS case of The
Slows. It takes FOREVER to open apps, and complete any number of different
tasks.
It is an off-brand box that came from Fry's (I think). I don't recall what
the architecture is, but I'm pretty sure my 286-based laptop...

`96 Grand Cherokee Pitman Arm by
unix-freak
Greetings,
I just bought my first Jeep last week. It's for my 16 year old
daughter. It's in great shape with the exception of too much play in
the steering. I've seen many write-ups concerning this. I've traced the
problem to be excessive play where the pitman arm joins the suspension.
My question...

`06 Patriot common failures? by
Lee Ayrton[_4_]
Now that I've ponyed up for an `06 Patriot cage for the street, what are
the common failure modes for that product? I've already gotten bitten by
rear suspension parts, and I suspect that the foot air doors for the
heater don't actually work.

[OT] milage tax. :/ by
DougW
Just heard this unbelievable load of horsepucky
on the TV. Places like the PRK (Peoples Republic
of Kalifornia) are mulling a tax-by-the-mile rather
than tax on the gallon of fuel. Why? Because folks
are buying econo boxes to save money and lower pollution
so the state isn't getting their fair...

[OT] for all you car nuts out there by

Barrett Jackson just auctioned off an 1954 Olds F-88
concept car done by Harly Earl for 3.24 million bucks.
The website is here http://www.barrett-jackson.com/
I took a few screen caps but alas I wasn't watching
when they popped the hood on this car.
They have more story...

Stopped by the Dodge dealer to get a cheapo oil change prior to doing
another later next month. Run some of the crudbunnies out.
So having some time to kill I start looking at the Magnum and Charger.
Talked to the salesman, one thing lead to the other and I'm off on a
test drive. The Charger...

Well, this was one interesting afternoon.
I'm returning to work from Occupational Medicine

Looks like the biker turned left out of a gas station
and got sideswiped by traffic. Lots...
