Sorry for the lack of information. I can't recreate the problem. I have a 91 Wranger 4.0 with 125000 miles. My wife, who is semi-proficient at driving manual, has stalled backing out of the driveway and another time driving out of the neighborhood and won't start. The first time, when I got to...

I have a 98 TJ, and I just noticed that under the hood near the steering column is an open plug. The plug has 4 wires in it, and is zip-tied to another wire. Here is a picture of what and where it is: http://fyad.org/92rj Does anyone have any idea where or what this should be connected to?

Optima Battery by paul
I am in need of a new battery and am impressed (or is it hoodwinked?) by the 'spiral cell technology' of the Optima batteries, but upon going to their website it is proclaimed that they do not have a battery that is the correct 'match' for a 93 YJ. Ideas? Suggestions? Other favorite batteries? tia

Do a lot of you have/get squeaks on the idler pulley? Someone commented about using STP on an idler. My squeak comes and goes with the weather, and it's annoying!

Problems with TJ headlamp/dimmer switch? by Nick Hughes
Hi Folks, As anyone experienced problems with the factory headlamp/dimmer switch assembly? My head lamps appears to switch on and off if the knob jiggles. I think it's a bad contact. I sprayed electrical contact cleaning inside, but it didn't help. The assembly removes, but disassembly doesn't...

Need help recharging the AC on a 97 Jeep Cherokee Sport by Jeff
Hello all, Can anyone instruct me or point me to a website that can give me pointers on recharging the AC system in my Sport? I've read that it uses the R132a that you can buy just about anywhere. However, I'm not sure how to do the recharge. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks,

Dealer Service good deal? by Fred
I took my 2004 Jeep Liberty V-6 to the dealer for an oil change at 12,300 miles. The service rep told me it was time to change the oil in the front and rear differential and quoted me a price of $144.00. Good deal ? Any comments? Fred

Nitrogen by Billy Ray
I cannot comment on the running cooler claim but the one that wasn't mentioned is that Nitrogen is 'dry' and won't promote rusting of the wheel and freezing in the valve. 'They" say the water initially in the wheel will migrate out over time as it is vaporized by road heat. But then, what do I...

Differential Lubricant Recommendations? by RCSnyder
I'm about to drain and refill the front and rear differentials on my '98 GC 5.9 and am open to recommendations. Fuels economy is a factor in my choice. I do not tow with the vehicle and most of my driving is interstate at 70+ mph. The vehicle has 107,000 miles and I put on about 30,000/year...
