code 65. Power Steering Presure Switch by
[email protected]
Engine Light came on a few weeks ago. Reports code 65. "High Pressure
Seen At High Speed"
After some research, seems that this could be because of the pressure
switch malfunctioning. If so, are replacements found at auto parts
stores? Also, where is the switch located?

97 TJ Braking by
97tjMike
Hello,
First of all thanks to everyone that helped me with my transmission
problem a couple of weeks ago when I had mud in it. It's now 95% back
to normal. Gonna drive it for a while so the rest of the mud will
clear out. Anyways now I have braking issues. When I slam on the
brakes, the vehicle...

4.0 history by
Jeff DeWitt
I'm curious about the history of the 4.0 engine. I know it's based on
an engine AMC introduced in 1964 (and powered a bunch of Gremlins a
while later), but at some point AMC (or Nash) took a clean sheet of
paper and designed a new engine that eventually evolved into our
wonderful 4.0.
Does anyone...

99 TJ 2.5 Hesitation by
Dexter
This may just be winter gas, but I'm going to ask the question:
99 TJ SE, 80k miles, K&N Intake Tube is the only "upgrade" to the Jeep.
New Rotor/Cap last week. Plugs seem fine.
As I take off driving, sometimes it hiccups anywhere between 1500 and
2000 RPM. Never above 2000. Also will happen...

95 YJ alternator...again by
Old Crow
Well, if you rember, sometime before Christmas I had the alternator
quit charging on my YJ.
Over the Christmas weekend I took the whole charging system apart,
cleaned all the connections and tightened the belt. This worked OK...
until last Monday, anyway.
On the way to work, I look down and the...

Need Wheel Offset Specs for ZJ, Wrangler, Rubicon by
Robert Bills
I just added a '97 ZJ tsi to my collection of Jeeps. (That's a Grand
Cherokee to you, Bill.) ;) It's fairly well set up with 3 1/2" lift,
skidplates, ARB front bumper with winch, Confer rack, etc.
Unfortunately, the previous owner installed 18" fancy chrome wheels and
285/55R18 street tires. ...

Battery Connected Backwards by
[email protected]
Hi All,
I installed a new battery in my '88 Wrangler but connected the wires
backwards. Needless to say there were sparks, hissing and smoke coming
from either the bottom of the battery or below the battery. The car
starts and runs but the radio does not work and the volt meter shows
just less...

Thunk sound by
[email protected]
On my way in tthis morning, there was an audible and felt THUNK THUNK
whenever I hit a bump. The noise seems to be coming from the left side
almost under or slightly forward of my clutch foot. I crawled under
looking for chunks of ice or packed snow in the spring or around the
shocks, but found...

Water Injection for 6L XJ engine? by
Spud
Like all the other XJs terrible gas mileage
Looking for those who have tried water/alcohol injection and like or dislike
it.
I believe the claims for increased power and carbon deposit removal, but
are the claims for increased fuel mileage bogus or true?

05 Jeep grand by
Joe
I have a Jeep "wk" with the hemi. I have to say it is shortening my life!
Does anyone know what is causing the vibration/hesitation when the throttle
is lightly applied?
I understand I may get flamed or ridiculed, but I am going crazy. My wife's
"WJ" and my daughter's "XJ" run better!
Thanks Joe

Dealer Service good deal? by
Fred
I took my 2004 Jeep Liberty V-6 to the dealer for an oil change at 12,300
miles. The service rep told me it was time to change the oil in the front
and rear differential and quoted me a price of $144.00. Good deal ? Any
comments?

seeking advice RE Wrangler transmission overhaul by

My 94 Wrangler (4 cyl, 170,000 miles) started having problems with the
5-speed manual transmission. First I lost 5th gear, then it started
seizing or locking up in reverse, and finally it started locking up in
first also.
I have now removed it from the vehicle, and separated the transmission

Wagoneer Engine Replacement Choices ? by
Dave Milne[_1_]
So I need some more ...hummph ... power in the Wagoneer, as it only has 144
hp which is about 50% of enough.
Any recommendations ? Presumably the Mopar crate engines would bolt up
straight to the Chrysler Torqueflite 727 ? Novak doesn't seem to have any
adapters for the 727 - "if your transmission...
