VW powered generator by
[email protected]
I wonder how that would work out ?
Would it be able to run continously for days or possible weeks at a
time ?
After this latest ice storm I've decided I need some kind of generator
that can power
the entire farm for extend periods. We were able to power the house
but not the
well pump, electric...

Midnight Repairs / 2014 by
[email protected][_1_]
A great story as originally told by Mr. Bob Hoover
He came down the back drive just before midnight on Christmas Eve. I was
out in the shop, about to call it a night when I heard the unmistakable
sound of a Volkswagen running on three cylinders. Bad valve.
It was an early model high-roof...

fuel pump pin falling out? by
Sam[_10_]
I have a strange issue. It seems that a pin on my fuel pump is working
its way out.
The pin I'm talking about is at the end of the arrow in this pictu

Yeh, there all like that! by
John[_28_]
I look at a few other similar sites to Ramva and its so common to hear
someone comment that their "official" Service Manager just says "Yeh,
their all like that" in response to some fault and shows them the door.
Makes me laugh when after 20 years of having the sticky seatbelt catch on my...

I need to rebuild my master and wheel cylinders. Are we supposed to throw

Anybody know a source?

Rotor, without the 12 k-ohms resistance by
rvirgin22
... Distributor rotors, without 12,000 ohms resistance
1) The original Bosch rotors, as recommended by VW, I believe
had 12,000 ohms, or was it 6,000 ohms of resistance across the
contacts... that being from the centre, out to the tip.
2) What I am finding these days (probably from China)...

Scirocco 16V struts by
Bill Leary
Are the struts, especially the front ones, the same for the 8V vs. the 16V
Scirocco, 1987?
I had some work done on the car a few years ago and the guy doing the work
cautioned that a lot of things in the 16V are not the same as the 8V because
of the weight and positioning of the 16V engine. It...
