Belt dressing, pros and cons? by
Micheal C. Jordan
What are the pros and cons, if any, to applying the spray-on belt
dressings to a multi-vee belt? Does it get rid of a squeal? What is the
liquid in the can, and how is it supposed to work?

Rubbing the tire on the road, is it really mathematically simple? by
micky
When I was in high school I was taught, or I read, that it's bad to turn
the steering wheel when the car is not moving. It's hard on the front
tires, wears out the tread, and one should be moving the car at least a
little when turning the wheel. Did they say that? Do they still?
I've been...

Last year I posted about the 3 cars I ended up having in one 2 month
rental period, and about the flash drive I had made that had about 800
songs on it from the 50's and early 60's, that I recorded off of
181.FM-oldies, one of several internet radio station from the...

Car radio that will mix sound inputs and play them at the same time? by
micky
Is there a car radio that will mix sound inputs and play them at the
same time?
AFAICT, both the Mazda 2 that I had and the current Honda Jazz/Fit and
maybe any other car I've driven lately only allowed one input to the
"radio" at a time.
So if I wanted to play the music on my Flashdrive, I...

For 21st century cars, the 7th or 8th digit is for restraint code (safety).

but above that the codes for curtain airbags, load limiters, knee airbag
varies by manufacturer.

micky
The 2019 Honda with the touchscreen that I am renting turns off the
radio/flashdrive/bluetooth sound whenever I back up. Is t here a way to
stop that.
If something important is on the radio, I have to park until it is over
before I back up or find some place where I can make a U-turn. ...

Two simple questions that came up when mounting tires at home by
Arlen G. Holder
Two minor questions that came up today when I was showing an inquisitive
teen how to mount & balance his own tires for the car he recently got for
free from a neighbor.
1. The teen asked me why this slit in the typical air chuck...

My car ('87 Bonneville) would start, stay on if I keep the gas pedal down, but only briefly, then shut off. All the lights are on, except engine. Tried switching burnt spark plugs, but also didnt work. 74,000 original miles. What else can it be?

NOTE

this makes fuels and gases more explosive and can result in better fuel economy
We study water fuels and by have positive earth we can make the gases have more forces and be explosive instead of implosive
If I had to bet...

Valet broke my brakes by
Tom Del Rosso[_5_]
Tonight when I gave my 97 Mercury to the parking valet the brakes were
normal. When I got it back the pedal had to go to the floor to stop.
There are 2 systems right? Would it do that if one line broke?
